when every answer isn't to their liking it's "we need more Jesus in our lives. thoughts and prayers and shyt." School shootings are an American issue. It just appears as if one side wants to do something about that.

As a father it blows my mind that "leaders" are more concerned with NRA ratings than having kids not have to have active shooter drills and worse yet have to use them. 4 kids dead and for what. My sons in Kindergarten and my wife works in an elementary school and it's always at the back of my mind that in THIS country, a shooting at school is BAU 
Then some people act like they're a sensible choice to lead a nation of 330 million. I wouldn't trust one of these miscreants to make my meal.
My kid is almost 3. I always had the hope that society would solve mass shootings like this before she start school but its just wishful thinking. I can't imagine having to worry about my child getting killed at school. We have enough to be concerned with in day to day life. they reported today in NY a teacher got shot in the Bronx while he was at school. Get this. School don't start til tomorrow. He got hit by a stray bullet from an apartment complex across the street. I hate to say this, but the possibility of some shyt poppin off growing up was always a reality. Now once you're in that building you're expected to be safe and whatever issues that came up would get settled later, but that's all school could control. Once school let out or before school started, you had to be ready for anything. It sucks that there's a country that didn't have to deal with that fear in many places who now gotta think about that.
