This doesn't sound like what KC needs and he does some things similar to Rashee Rice with screens and crosses. They need a WR who can stretch the field and connect for big plays. Troy Franklin fits that description and I'm hoping he doesn't impress at the combine and falls to them. I doubt that happens so they should probably go O-line then get a WR later. I'm trying to figure out who.
Hearing chatter that Gabe Davis is gonna be their target for that solution. Feels exactly like the MVS signing :ehh:

That's exactly why I wouldn't sign him. They could just cut and resign MVS on a cheaper deal. They need a trustworthy WR and Davis just doesn't have the consistency.

If they can somehow land Mike Evans or Ridley then I'd be cool with taking McConkey as the 3rd option since I don't think he projects as a #1. If they don't get a #1 in free agency then they should take Ja'lynn Polk.

Nabers is nice but how he a better prospect then Smitty?
Smitty was prolific in college but he wasn’t even WR2 in his draft, his teammate was. He was knocked as a prospect due to his size/frame and he wasn’t perceived to have same explosiveness as a Waddle. Dude weighed like 165 at his medical evaluation

-JJ Mccacrthy is gonna go a lot higher than people think. Some team is gonna force it and take him top 15

-It’s a miraculous year for white athletes :heh:

Cooper Dejean and Ladd Mcconkey are legit. Mcconkey is a legit 6ft and might test sub 4.4 and will probably have a top 5 3-cone. He’s not just a typical Edelman white slot. I think he goes as a top 5 WR

I think Dejean is gonna be a star. My comp for him is honey badger

- If it’s not one of the top 3 WRs, might as well wait to the 2nd round. It’s gonna be a huge run on WRs late 1st/2nd round. It could be 10 WRs taken from 25-50 range
It's wild that people are already trying to say DeJean should move to safety. That dude is athletic as fukk. You can look at his basketball highlights and see he's just a freak athlete who just so happens to be a 6'1 white guy. Put him on a defense that runs a lot of zone and he's gonna ball out.

its not enough to be very athletic to be an outside corner in the NFL

Nah he's a second rounder and definitely not top 5.

We’ll see! I’d pay attention to 1) his combine performance, and 2) Arizona at 27 if they don’t go WR at 4, Buffalo at 28, KC at 32, or a team moves up at the end of round 1 to get Mcconkey

I'm hoping not, cause just like you said Gabe Davis is basically MVS all over again. Don't trust his hands at all. And the fact that he couldn't eat consistently playing across from Diggs makes me not trust him.

McConkey would fit best with a team that already has an established #1. He's not a #1 so AZ (assuming MHJ is gone you have Nabers or Odunze) and Buffalo (if Diggs is out) don't make sense. KC is a no:stopitslime:

There's WR's with much higher ceilings and they should go ahead of him. Why try and cram him into the first round? A second round pick makes more sense after teams got their position of need filled. You're projecting him higher then CB's, edge rushers, and O-linemen. I don't think teams are taking all these WR's in the first. It's a deep class so they'll look to get them round 2 & 3.

As a WR prospect, Steve Smith really likes Malachi Corley and compares him to D.K Metcalf. The difference is D.K is 6'4 while Malachi is 5'10.

That said he's built very similarly to Isiah Pacheco (although a little lighter/less dense): 5'10 ~210+ lbs. and that's basically someone no one wants to tackled when it gets cold.

NICE hands too. If I'm the Chiefs that's a WR I'd target.

I think if that guy lights up the combine dude is going bye-bye quick.

Got a Malik Nabers breakdown earlier today:

NEGATIVES

— Poor footwork and hand usage as a route-runner. Lacks detail.

— Below-average spatial awareness as a route-runner. Too often runs into contact or traffic.

— Limited route tree and usage at this stage. Hardly asked to do anything but screens, flat routes and crossers.

— Explosiveness is closer to average than game-changing, even though his play style depends on it.

This doesn't sound like what KC needs and he does some things similar to Rashee Rice with screens and crosses. They need a WR who can stretch the field and connect for big plays. Troy Franklin fits that description and I'm hoping he doesn't impress at the combine and falls to them. I doubt that happens so they should probably go O-line then get a WR later. if you want a D.K. / A.J. Brown type of reciver Xavier Legette is your man

dude already had beta mahomes spencer rattler throwing to him :russ:
