The major issue for me, especially when they could've gotten so many other asian actors that could've played the role perfectly. Will Yun Lee does the best Spike impression I've ever seen in Altered Carbon, but again, that and many other shows have done CB way better. From Firefly to the Expanse.
Yeah, I've got no problem with Spike being Asian in fact there are martial artist/actors who probably would've killed the role. I just feel like every time they take an actor known for their comedic work and put them in some shyt like this to play against their type they can only do an adequate job at best.
Oh, yeah that brother's fake beard looked really bad in that clip too.
