I feel bad for the actors. The kid who played Ed was excited as it was her first major gig, sucks it had to turn out like this.

Bebop actually should have been one of the easier anime to adapt due to it being a bit more grounded than what you usually see in the medium. The biggest problems were (like most of the time) at the writing level. Like I can't believe some this stuff in the show actually got approved smh.

I was hopeful after they broke from the normal outline with the season ending episodes. The actors seemed to find their comfort zones with the characters too, the more it went along the more chemistry was there. But the dialogue was really rough pretty much throughout.

I'm on EPISODE 2. I really like the WORLD BUILDING. I like the Syndicate and Elders scene. It sucks this got cancelled. It feels like in the 2nd season they could've found their footing tone wise.

Sometime after that post I was looking at the hours viewed that Netflix releases

...yea I'm not surprised this got cancelled lol. It's numbers were pedestrian. With weak numbers, terrible reviews all the while Netflix pushed this more than most new shows they release it was bound to get cancelled.

Feel bad for the actors, the terrible writing really let them down.

:damn::damn::damn::damn::damn::damn:

News threw me for a loop.....

netflix apparently didnt want to spend the money for a reup for the bedwetters to complain even more

Cold world......also I never want to hear anime people talk about wanting a live action anything again

They are just perpetual special snowflake whiners

Lots of anime fans don’t like live action adaptations of anime, especially western ones.

The show wasn’t that good.

I don’t think you can adapt Bebop, actually. It’s like trying to adapt Into the Spiderverse or Akira. They’re master strokes because they made the most of their medium.

Nah. The studios are just trash and shifting the content to real life. And frankly a lot of it shouldnt be remade into live action. Its borderline impossible to capture the essence of many of these characters in live action. Netflix is going to fukk up Avatar and Yu Yu Hakusho the same. Just wait. Anything other than an R Rating for YYH is a waste of time.

wasnt HBO supposed to do an adaptation of Monster or was that just a rumor?
Del Toro pitched it but HBO declined. That was like half a decade ago too. Real shame.
That would be probably be the easiest anime to real life adaptation tbh and probably be really good as well that anime was a classic
