Been playing this all day. It just sounds so refreshing. Everyone did their thing. Lowkey not once did I go “9th would make this better”

Sidenote: I know Nottz has worked with a lot of west coast artists but mannn can he make a west coast beat. Right on Time has that early to mid 2000s west coast sound. Anyway dope project definitely one of my favorites this year and will stay in rotation for a while.

Joe Scudda. LB features him on their only major label video, he was on The Shield on FX. Had a lane. But just never dropped an album. Ironically his worst verse was the one on the LB single, Lovin’ It. Dude had some good songs though.

Man I remember waiting for that shield episode after being on the lawn lol. But door to my life is a classic song :mjcry:

I gotta sit with this for a minute bc I still think its MadGibbs but on first listen its everything I hoped it would be :blessed:

We truly been blessed this year with all this dope music and then Tiggalo and Pooh come back with something on par with anything they've ever made together?

This brings me back to the SOHH days - shyt I'm from NJ, grew up on a certain type of hip hop and yall put me on to the GOATness of LB...listening to these grown man bars as a grown man...they ain't lost a step, just kept sharpening their pens and :wow::mjcry:
I still need to finish the second half of this album because listening to the first half got me nostalgic and sentimental as fukk and had me going back and digging up rough cut gems like

and

from my high school days. Used to ride around in the homies (parent's) 2002 A4 and listen to Lost Tapes, Clipse, Come Home with Me, Aziatic, etc
Don't mind me over here. Just reflecting :mjcry:

Well so many of the skit references mention a fall lineup on UBN. :lupe:

shyt had me wondering if they plan on dropping something this fall with more of the old crew? I doubt it, but at first the thought was going through my head. Seems like it would be a lot of effort, and if it took them 9 months to make this record, then I'm sure they don't have another one on deck. I was just happy to hear their voices breh.

Everyone has moved on. :mjcry:

Out of the old J. League crew (the rappers and producers), I know Comanche is still doing music and has a good overseas fanbase, especially in Asia. I know Chaundon is a successful DJ. Phonte and Pooh are obviously doing music too. Khrysis and 9th are still producing. I think Yorel is a lawyer. Sean Boog runs a successful small business. Joe Scudda runs a successful bar. I talk to EA Floe sometimes on IG, and he seems happy but I'm not sure what he's up to. I have no ides what Legacy is up to or where he lives even. We was one of my best friends but he totally vanished from the earth, it seems. And no one ever knows where Median is, but I hear he's a happy family man. Brockington was a banker last I heard, but that was a few years ago. Big Dho is always busy with various things.

This album is real bittersweet. I feel younger than I've ever felt as I start to head into my mid 30's, but hearing this album makes me realize just how fast time has flown, and how many things I've actually done and experiences I've had in my life. It sounds mad corny, but even though I never made any music with these dudes, and even though in the big picture they aren't as popular as Wu, Jay, Nas, Mobb, Dre, etc...I still feel very blessed to have been around during that time and old enough to appreciate it. If I had known that time would go by so fast I would have tried to cherish it more and not taken that whole era for granted. I don't think I realized how special it was until it was over.
:wow:
Live life friends and appreciate every second.

Album still has me :mjcry: :obama: listening to these nikkas like they're family members of mine. Was put on to them back in 04 as a teenager by a co-worker of mine and been a super fan every since. Album is just bringing me back memories of my college days (2006-2010) in the dorms and apartments and just life and relationships in general. Just a overall dope album.

I needed this album way more than I realized :wow:

It’s literally gotten on every listen (4 listens now) and I really can’t fault this album for anything other than the run time because I wish it was 10-15 minutes longer. 9th not being involved on this made zero difference to me because every beat they got from Khrysis, Focus, Nottz, etc is flames.

I really love how they brought back Rosenberg, Chaundon, Darien Brockington, Joe Scudda and the skits from Minstel Show because it really made this album to feel like a sequel whilst also highlighting the growth both of them have gone through over the years. I don’t know why but Pooh saying he was doing Uber pickups hit me. That’s just some real life shyt there.

I need a longer instrumental version of “A Word From the President” because that bassline is just smooth as hell. Nottz is the MVP on this album for “Sittin Alone” because disobeyed all chopping rules with that Bobby Caldwell track.

I don’t even know what my favourite song is because the whole album has really made me feel good. Listening to this made me feel 16 again when I commuting to college and just living with all the Justus League music.
