Well so many of the skit references mention a fall lineup on UBN. :lupe:

shyt had me wondering if they plan on dropping something this fall with more of the old crew? I doubt it, but at first the thought was going through my head. Seems like it would be a lot of effort, and if it took them 9 months to make this record, then I'm sure they don't have another one on deck. I was just happy to hear their voices breh.

Everyone has moved on. :mjcry:

Out of the old J. League crew (the rappers and producers), I know Comanche is still doing music and has a good overseas fanbase, especially in Asia. I know Chaundon is a successful DJ. Phonte and Pooh are obviously doing music too. Khrysis and 9th are still producing. I think Yorel is a lawyer. Sean Boog runs a successful small business. Joe Scudda runs a successful bar. I talk to EA Floe sometimes on IG, and he seems happy but I'm not sure what he's up to. I have no ides what Legacy is up to or where he lives even. We was one of my best friends but he totally vanished from the earth, it seems. And no one ever knows where Median is, but I hear he's a happy family man. Brockington was a banker last I heard, but that was a few years ago. Big Dho is always busy with various things.

This album is real bittersweet. I feel younger than I've ever felt as I start to head into my mid 30's, but hearing this album makes me realize just how fast time has flown, and how many things I've actually done and experiences I've had in my life. It sounds mad corny, but even though I never made any music with these dudes, and even though in the big picture they aren't as popular as Wu, Jay, Nas, Mobb, Dre, etc...I still feel very blessed to have been around during that time and old enough to appreciate it. If I had known that time would go by so fast I would have tried to cherish it more and not taken that whole era for granted. I don't think I realized how special it was until it was over.
:wow:
Live life friends and appreciate every second.

Need your help with finding a track by Median, I think it used to go "back me up if you feelin..." and it was over a spacy beat. Sound familiar?

Not to go off topic, but I wonder if we are still getting that Phonte, Black Thought, Rhymefest group? Announced it about a year ago...
Has Rhymefest dropped anything as of late? Thought dropped those 2 solo joints & is working on a new Roots LP. Tae dropped last year & this album. So, maybe Fest is the hold up?

We wrote and recorded every song on this album together. We carried each other.

Been playing this all day. It just sounds so refreshing. Everyone did their thing. Lowkey not once did I go “9th would make this better”

Sidenote: I know Nottz has worked with a lot of west coast artists but mannn can he make a west coast beat. Right on Time has that early to mid 2000s west coast sound. Anyway dope project definitely one of my favorites this year and will stay in rotation for a while.
I always big up the west coast homie Evidence, I wanted to say I agree and to peep the joints they’d dude last year. I think they also have a little laid back west coast sound. Especially the first one.
