This is AOTY so far over here :mjcry:
I gotta sit with this for a minute bc I still think its MadGibbs but on first listen its everything I hoped it would be :blessed:

We truly been blessed this year with all this dope music and then Tiggalo and Pooh come back with something on par with anything they've ever made together?

This brings me back to the SOHH days - shyt I'm from NJ, grew up on a certain type of hip hop and yall put me on to the GOATness of LB...listening to these grown man bars as a grown man...they ain't lost a step, just kept sharpening their pens and :wow::mjcry:

Yes!

Dude Leg was ahead of his time. Maybe. Maybe someone was doing hashtag rap before him, but not many.

I mean who the hell was picking 9th beats like this in 2001, titling them after the date of Jim Morrison's death, and rapping like this?! He was a true artist. Also he and 9th probably did a good 120 some joints together.

Drugs, rehab, and court, like Bob Downey...She taught me a life lesson. Stabbed in the back. She taught me a knife lesson. I still got the scars...:wow:
Dude says "Crocdile Dundee. The shyt he's waving, now that's a knife!" Then proceeds to pull out an actual knife on stage. :heh:

He was just an overall character. Never met another human like him. He even dissed Chaundon and Away Team and made apology tracks. he was almost kicked out of the League multiple times. Dude used the budget for his first single to use special effects to cut his wrists in a bathtub and hung himself in a way I still don't know how they pulled off. It looks real.. :dead:

Holdin' a spark then I fell like Owen Hart. A long drop. Doin' nothing non-stop. :damn:

What is dude up to these days?

This might end up being my album of the year off of pure emotional impact alone, let alone that the album is incredible quality wise.

This isn't even an overly cheerful album, but it just made me happy. It was like some sort of audio family reunion where you see your cousins that maybe went through a rough patch and realize that they went through all that so they could make it on their own terms.

The fact that they were able to get appearances from guys who fell off the face of the earth musically like Darien Brockington and Joe Scudda really makes it seem like they were all real friends/family, and not just a bunch of guys who made a couple bucks together.

My dude had a solo album produced mostly by Alchemist, 9th, Khrysis, Sid Roams, and Evidence. Features by all sorts of dope cars. Sean P and Damn near everyone in BCC. Gibbs. Way more. Can’t believe it never managed to leak or drop.

Glad he’s happy though. I think he owns a bar near Atlanta.
Were you White Mike on SOHH?

I dunno man. Last I heard he was living in Raleigh and was a good bartender. That was like 4 years ago though. He came over to my crib with his girlfriend at the time in 2012 and chilled for a few hours. That’s the last I saw him.

Like I said. It sucks because he was my best friend out of all those guys. Dude truly lived that rock star life. We’d be late for shows by long stretches and I never once saw him sweat it or care. Never worried about where he’d end up sleeping that night. Didn’t worry about cell phones, or health insurance, etc. he was truly a “brightest star burns the fastest” type of cat. He had a great trait of making anyone from any walk of life laugh. One of the top 3 funniest (without trying) people I’ve ever met.

He was also incredibly well read and had the most obscure movie and novel references that he’d drop in regular conversation.

I’ve tried to get in touch but he’s not in any social media, his numbers don’t work anymore, and no one I speak with has heard from him in a minute. I do think he’s in Raleigh though.
