I was late as hell in seeing scarface. I didn't see it til like 2000 or so. so I NEVER understood the skit at the beginning of raekwon's "criminology" until MUCH MUCH later

Al Pacino is a puerto rican gangster that gets out of jail and tries to go straight but the streets drags him back in. Dope movie.

Great movie. One of the most underrated gangster movies. Sean Penn plays a coked out jewish lawyer who gets him into all kinds of fukkery.

A lot of people like the character of Tony Montana for the wrong reasons. They say stuff like "He's good because he strives to be his own boss" and but forgot that he was addicted to cocaine, had his wife leave him, and ended up getting killed by men sent out by his supplier.

overrated by who? that's the question man..because this film isn't rated highly like godfather or other films in category/league.

It's the mtv generation and hip hop audience who embraced this and made it into some super prolific important piece in cinema.
