Not gonna lie the DBZ Abridged Youtube Series got meabout certain issues I didn't think about the first time around. After seeing 18 give Vegeta that work again
it got me me thinking.....
How the hell did Dr. Gero make androids strong enough to break a super saiyan's arm when he didn't know what the hell a super saiyan was? As they pointed out Gero only had information on the Z-Warriors BEFORE they went to Namek/King Kai's Planet where they all leveled up tremendously. His creations shouldn't have had a chance
Why the hell was 17 and 18 that strong but Gero's body or 19 wasn't? Why the hell would you design a weak body or yourself to the point where your own creations can easily kill you? Then again maybe he knew that might happened which he design Cell to absorb both of them
Why didn't 17 or 18 have them energy draining sensors inplanted in their hands like 19 and Gero had?
17 and 18 were different than 19 and Gero.
IIRC, 17 and 18 were originally human and were actually cyborgs instead of true Androids. They were still mostly human. That's why Dr. Gero couldn't control them, and it's why 18 was able to have a kid later on. The energy draining sensors were only for full androids like 19 and Gero (he was fully robotic other than his brain). I think 17 and 18 had some sort of perpetual energy power so they didn't need to drain energy fro anybody.

Makes sense, but it don't explain why 17 and 18 were that damn strong. Maybe I feel like they should have dedicated an episode to show the backstory of 17 and 18 before they got kidnapped by Dr. Gero... it would have explain the hatred they had for him, how skillful they was before the kidnapping and how reckless and bout that life they were plus we could have learned their real names.

When Goku let Frieza power up to his full level, he was fukking super saiyen goku up, and he only lost because he got weaker
as they continued to fight, and they're power levels were so high they caused the planet to explode. Yet all of the other fights in the series after that are mild in comparison

I agree, cause when Goku first did it everyone was mind blown. Then he did it frequently it wasn't was as great as it was exciting... Until he turned SS2 & so on.
