Frieza was shook

When that music comes on at 1:14 :ohlawd:

Uh Frieza

I always loved that music. nikkas on the net back in the early 00s tried to shyt on the American version's music, but I always said fukk the Japanese soundtrack. :pacspit: Outside of a few songs that shyt was weak.

I can't even remember most of what happened in DBZ but I stopped watching right after DBZ GT was supposed to come out.
Highlight of the series to me was that kid Gohan and Cell fight where Gohan did that one arm kamehameha.

I used to be geeked up about this cartoon. I remember when some white kid was telling me and my friends about how it's different in Japan and they curse and shyt I was like :gladbron:

Makes sense, but it don't explain why 17 and 18 were that damn strong. Maybe I feel like they should have dedicated an episode to show the backstory of 17 and 18 before they got kidnapped by Dr. Gero... it would have explain the hatred they had for him, how skillful they was before the kidnapping and how reckless and bout that life they were plus we could have learned their real names.
It's just assumed that Gero knew Goku would get stronger over time so he put calculations in to make sure the Androids were strong enough to take on the Goku of that time.

To be honest it wasn't the only flaw of the series. To me everybody was too powerful. Being able to destroy a whole planet early in the series was really stupid in hindsight. If you look at current series, all of them have some pretty powerful forms (naurto, ichigo) which create major destruction without going as far as destroying a fukkin planet. Its like, where the fukk do you go from there??
I also hated its over reliance on energy beams. Bleach kinda got that shyt bad too. Naruto's fights was always interesting as fukk because of the techniques (at least when naurto wasn't the one fighting) If it wasn't for the top notch action in DBZ it would have been bushes status.

True shyt. I was just in awe when I seen that shyt. Best moment in television history for me.

If dbz ended with the frieza saga then I think not a single person would question it's greatness.
:ohhh:
Could y'all imagine??

The entire series just ended with the planet blowing up and us not knowing if Goku survived or not...:wow:

Instead we get some cheesy explanation to how he escapes and the fukkery proceeds.....

Great assessment.

That's why you hit ANYONE trying to make cross-character comparisons for DBZ vs anyone laughable. Like when dudes speak on Goku vs Superman, I just :snoop: at the lack of understanding the power levels.

C/S the Naruto speak, too. Those fights stay compelling as hell.

Gotta cosign.

I rewatched the series last year and have to say from start to the end of Frieza saga is the definitive DBZ arc. Its such a complete, well thought out story compared to the rest of the series. Villain encounters were way better. Over a decade later and I'm still :wow: at the amount of effort it took to defeat Vegeta. And the shyt that went down on Namek was amazing. Finally learning everyone's back story was some heavy shyt. Vegeta's heel-face turn. Racing for the dragonballs, giving the title relevance. Frieza pompously terrorizing everyone. shyt was just :banderas: all-around.

Android Saga started off great but soon devolved into empty showcases of power ups, with Cell and Buu Saga continuing the trend. Just a collection of "moments" with no substance. Not to say they weren't good moments, cuz there are many favorites, but it doesn't stand up to the earlier sagas as a whole. Not to mention inconsistencies everywhere. You can tell Toriyama was forced to continue after Frieza's death due to the popularity of the series.
