shane took his best friends family to safety because he was in a coma. Even locked his room at the hospital even though he was most likely zombie food. Adopted them as his own and started raising his son. He went to a school overrun with zombies to get medicine for coral. He taught everyone in the group who wanted it how to shoot and protect themselves.

But he was selfish and shortsighted right?

Rick let the governor crush the buildings(literally) kill a bunch of his people and scatter his squad and nursed a dude who was trying to kill him a few minutes before back to health because "They didn't want to be those people"

There's no logical explanation as to why there's several weak people still alive in the show but, somehow a savage nikka like Shane wouldn't survive. You're hating.

The logical explanation is that Rick stabbed his ass for fukkin his wife. No one else was fukkin Lori, so Rick had no reason to kill all of the weak bytches that are still alive. shane saved lori and carl cus he wanted them for himself (selfish), he lied to lori about ricks actual condition. he killed otis even though they were literally 15 ft away from the truck -- after otis saved shanes life TWICE.

and only hershel died from the main group. realistically if shane was group leader, he would have gotten everyone killed by now. especially during the flu outbreak
