Great thread, couple things to add
sounds cliche but: If you want something done right, you better do it yourself
-there is nothing to gain from arguing with fools
-dont try and speak over someone smarter (not generally more successful) than you, absord what you can from them
-dont
when you see someone with nice things, you never know what they did/had to do to get them. Also, its a sign of weakness and shows that you're easily impressed.
-if you have a goal in life that you are working/saving toward (e.g. starting a certain business), don't let other things distract you from getting there. Too many people will come out of the wood work with "investment opportunities" when they see you have capital at your disposal.
-always have liquidity, if youre an avid investor, make sure a portion of your portfolio is in cash. You always want to be able to seize opportunities when they come along.
-everyone should understand business/finance, even at just an entry level. I've seen too many people entrust money to "professionals" without knowing the difference between equities or debt securities. We have too many resources now a days not to be money smart.
-if the bank calls you to sell/upsell you credit products, respectfully decline. There is no need for you to take on excessive debt levels, high CC limits are just a recipe for disaster.
-Stop trying to impress people!!!!!! Its always the people on FB & Instagram flaunting that have no assets in real life.
-Every man should have at least 2 high quality suits. You never know what an expensive perfectly fitted suit says about you when you walk into a room for an interview/meeting.
- As someone said, your s/o says a lot about you. Having a girlfriend that is the complete opposite of you may be fun for a short period, but will lead to nothing but problems long term.
- A girls FB/IG says a ton about her. The more pics of herself, the more insecure/attention seeking she is. Again, she may be fun for the short term, but being with her long term is a recipe for disaster.
- Never date a woman that does not have a secure job/future. Guess who will be financing all of those trips & dates? Thats right..
- IF she doesnt reach for her wallet at least once in the first 3 dates, get rid of her!! SHe clearly has no respect for you, and is just using you. THis will lead to nothing good in the future.
- ALWAYS WORKOUT, STAY FIT & EAT HEALTY - Geese I cannot stress this enough. We are so heavily judged in this world by how we look, not just by the opposite sex, but by employers and people you do business with in general. Eating healthy & working out clears your minds, makes you not feel lazy and generally says a lot about you. If you're able to wake up at 5am to go for a jog everyday, people know that you are the type that is willing to get stuff done. Eating healthy and keeping low body fat levels will also make you look several years younger.
- Get an education! If I had a dollar for everyone who says its all about street smarts etc.. These are usually the first to fall victim to pinzi & MLM schemes
- Always have a 5, 10 year plan. Too many people live in the moment.

If I am uncomfortable in the present, the best thing I can do for myself is to acknowledge why I'm uncomfortable and take steps to resolve it.
Problems are always easier to face when you aren't running away.
There is always a motive behind my actions. If I am wasting all day online, it is because I am more motivated to be comfortable than I am to grow.
I have to choose to want to grow and improve more than to be comfortable. It isn't ever going to happen by itself.
Anything, no matter how innocuous, can be turned into a drug if my motive is to escape my problems.
Fantasizing about what I'd like to happen, or what I wish would happen is exactly as worthless as focusing on the past.
Every day I choose who I am. If I don't make a conscious choice, then I let the world choose for me.

Take the good with the bad...those moment when your down i.e. negative/depressed are times of challenge and frame resets. View those moments as challenges and use those moments to build out of whatever weakness you may be trying to overcome at the moment. This could apply to failure, loss, or just rough streaks in life.

When people have problems nothing else matters to them when you have problems you don't matter to them.
yeah people will help out but they won't go outta their way to do so. most of the time any assistance you get won't amount to much.
i learned in life to always put yourself first and make sure you're ok because the same people that will let you break your neck to help them are the same people that will abandon you in your time of need.
