The article should have read "Lebron warns retired LBs/DBs/Safetys...."

He would have been out of the NFL at this point, or at the most a shell of himself.

Exactly, he's not wrong though, he'd have been nasty, but he chose the right sport

That was a unofficial 40 he ran his Junior year in Highchool..

It’s crazy how people are taking those numbers from junior year in high school, and using them to judge how well he would’ve done after five straight years(senior yr HS, 4 yrs college) of growing, weight lifting, and football training when he reached the NFL. He would’ve ended up being the Shaquille O’Neal of the NFL in the sense that he’d be a completely dominating and unstoppable force.

That 4.6 was probably a 4.4 his first couple years in the league after being a full time athlete. Hell Lebron said he ran a 4.6 in 2013 just playing around. Cleveland Lebron was a lot more explosive.

It requires a certain level of skill, but not the level needed for the NBA or even golf, baseball, or hockey. You can get a dude with the necessary level of athleticism, discipline, and aggression and find a place for him on the football field.

Which is why the best athletes are in the NFL in my mind. It's the sport that rewards athleticism the most. Basketball requires more refinement.

I know what you saying but that 4.6 matters when you getting chipped by the Julius Peppers of the world, jammed at the line and the Kam Chancellors hawking you with a cover corner, no matter how tall he is. The reason why the tall jumpers like Calvin were so good was because they had the speed to breakaway without giving up their height advantage. Waiting on a 4.6 runner to get through all that off a vertical release is a sack waiting to happen. That's Gronk speed and Gronk isn't used in the vertical game really because of that. He'll be slants, digs and flats with that speed and it's hard to take advantage of that height/jumping with those routes. The occasional posts and fades he could blow a possession up though, but those aren't coming as often as people are running with a 4.6. Thats why Plax wasn't a #1 receiver. Can't use him as often because he was too slow. The possession would be over most times.

:comeon:Lets be reality. Bron in his prime as an adult is way quicker than fxcking Gronk and Plax. He's been clocked at 4.4 more recently

He was only in 11th grade and likely wasnt even taking football or his 40 time as seriously as he could have at the time.

Hes one of the fastest sprinters in the NBA at his peak...So speed wouldnt be an issue for him if he were a pro in any sport. Espn clocked him at over 20+ mph on his chasedown plays. As for agility, The breh guarded prime Derrick Rose in a series with zero issue. hed be iite.

One person that needs to change from basketball to football is

Ligelo ball

He looks like a TE to me

Shannon sharp told lavar let him train ligelo for a year

He would be a amazing TE

I still dont see why they won't try that :francis:

It’s not that hard to figure out lavar played football and probably don’t want his sons having CTE. shyt lavars clown antics might be partly CTE induced.
