4.6, 4.5, 4.4 it don't matter, hes goin right over your head. :mjlol:

The fxck is a midget DB doin with that :mjlol:
I know what you saying but that 4.6 matters when you getting chipped by the Julius Peppers of the world, jammed at the line and the Kam Chancellors hawking you with a cover corner, no matter how tall he is. The reason why the tall jumpers like Calvin were so good was because they had the speed to breakaway without giving up their height advantage. Waiting on a 4.6 runner to get through all that off a vertical release is a sack waiting to happen. That's Gronk speed and Gronk isn't used in the vertical game really because of that. He'll be slants, digs and flats with that speed and it's hard to take advantage of that height/jumping with those routes. The occasional posts and fades he could blow a possession up though, but those aren't coming as often as people are running with a 4.6. Thats why Plax wasn't a #1 receiver. Can't use him as often because he was too slow. The possession would be over most times.

It's not mutually exclusive. You can have talent in both sports to varying degrees. He didn't play college but he already had pro football skills for the old traditional TE role in highschool which is how he could do that. He didn't have pro basketball skills at any point. The whole premise I rejected was just because you are good at basketball in highschool doesn't mean you can just pick football up and be an NFL great. Gates played football in highschool and was great at it. He didn't just walk into a NFL workout with no experience and a jumpshot.

HE CLEARLY HAD THE SKILLS
TO PLAY PRO BALL.
HE JUST DIDNT HAVE THE HEIGHT
FOR HIS POSITION DURING THAT ERA.

I don’t think y’all are understanding how much of an absolute freak Lebron is. I wish I could find a proportionately accurate picture of him standing next to a Josh Norman or whoever the biggest fastest NFL DB is. It is almost unfair, the idea of him going against them in a WR vs DB scenario. Way too big, jumps way too high, way too strong.

Some are saying but his speed but his strength but -

Keep this in mind: If Lebron chose to stick with football like he said, he would’ve matured throughout high school and college under a football regiment of weight lifting/training. Y’all are thinking of today’s Lebron. But that’s not correct- we’d have FOOTBALL Lebron. A Lebron who’s been lying out DBs on the field and ripping dumbbells in half in the gym since his freshman year of High School. He’d be a completely different animal right now- and he’d certainly be strong enough and fast enough.

There’s no question as to whether he would’ve dominated in the NFL.

I'm not gonna sit here and lie and say I was watching games to know that he had NBA level talent. I saw him play but I didn't follow him. To me, if he couldve made it, he would've:yeshrug:I don't have a an issue taking your word that he was an NBA prospect.

He was a high school junior he was gonna get faster a lot of guys specifically train for the 40.

‘09/‘10 LeBron was his peak in speed and explosiveness and he was ridiculous end to end.

Other sources also have him as having ran a 4.4 if you search it up. He also got praised for not just athleticism but his route running ability too. He’s taller than every WR/TE and has a higher vert.

DUDE WAS A BEAST
BUT NO ONE WAS DRAFTING 6'4 PF
DURING THAT ERA.

HE WOULD HAVE HAD TO COME IN UNSIGNED
AND WORK HIS WAY UP.

THE NFL WAS THE EASIER ROUTE.
