:gucci:

he was a freshman when Sierra Canyon had a team full of 5 star seniors.

he had a meniscus injury last season, and plus Cali shut everything down with COVID. They don’t operate like the south where we still had full seasons of all sports last season.

y’all ready to write off a 16 year old kid already when he really hasn’t had the chance to show his true potential yet
It’s not about age. It’s that he has never been close to showing he’s at the same level as his peers who aren’t even pro prospects. In AAU, he was never better than Gabe Cupps, in HS Gabe Cupps has been better but no one considers Gabe as some top prospect. Bronny lack aggression in settings where it’s easy to be aggressive. AAU ball has no defense and it’s up and down yet hesitates to look at the rim. That’s not a meniscus issue or age issue because that’s been his entire M.O. how do you correct that? Look at Lonzo, how shook he is in the NBA but was a goddamn dog in HS. If you lack that dog in HS, it won’t just appear in the next levels. We talk about his athleticism yet how many videos are there of him using that in the game, especially in the half court? Real talk, Zaire Wade was better at this stage and dude isn’t close to being a pro prospect.

nikka think he gotta be a Michael Jordan comparison as a 16 year old like his dad to do his thing in the league :francis:
Idk what breh gonna be but it’s been clear from the jump his timeline gonna involve developing as a 4 year HS player + college. He ain’t gonna be the or a candidate but he could be straight

He’s gotta get out of Sierra Canyon. It’s not doing anything for his development.

He doesn't have the skill or mindset to dominate. When he gets the ball in the half court he takes 2 simple dribbles and passes or shoots. His lil bro has game though

I looked at a 16 year old lamelo Ball and was like yeah he has "IT"

I look at bronny and meh
Is it a case of not having it or just not wanting it.

Lamelo looked awful at time in HS. However, you could never question his desire or love for basketball.

Instead of Bron letting him be a gamer he should have let him play other sports. Some guys can just dominate one sport. Others need to be competing year round to get their athleticism/intensity up. I know CTE dangers, but who knows he might have had a gift in something other than basketball athleticially.

It wasnt just Gabe Cupps either if we're being honest. They had that lightskin dude and another taller white player that were as good if not better.

Ironically those dudes are getting D1 scholarships....in football.

I actually think Bronny is better than Wade's son at that age. HOwver, Wade's son was following the normal formula for development. Playing at a normal school, forced to score 17 a night.
Wade sending him to SC got him off track thinking he could play with those guys. When in reality he just needed to play and progress. Too busy trying to get a major offer by association instead of just following the process. Go to a Depaul or Southern Miss and earn his stripes.

Cats wanna be Dame or Steph, but dont wanna take the journey they went through.

Bron should correct his error and send him to another school. I don’t know how districts work but Bronny would benefit at being at a school like Mater Dei. What sucks is that he’ll never get the touches he need. Amari not passing the ball and Sierra just imports players and they’ll get the best players because they know playing on a team with Bronny = all the attention will be on their games. Bronny either gotta force the issue or he gotta ask out.

Yea Bronny needed Amari to reclassify and go to UCLA early. Now Amari just gonna return and score 25+ a game.

Then you got two other Sr's trying to get major offers. Bronny being a #4 next year does nothing for his development. And as you said thats if they dont bring someone else in.

Works well for Bryce tho. If I'm Bron I'm forcing Bryce to play JV as well if they allow it.

Bronny has athleticism and resources. He’s clearly a high major D1 player at minimum which means he has a realistic chance to be a pro prospect at some point. He’s also very purposefully not been put in a position to ‘star’ anywhere. Playing AAU with older guys and guys who are clearly stars and then playing high school ball with star players and being forced to play a role and earn what he gets. Who knows how it will turn out but the kid has talent
No he’s not he hasn’t proven he’s a high D1 player at all
