Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Dominicans in Brooklyn and Harlem are quite woke.:ehh: Had a good Dominican homie from East NY who considered himself Black.

That’s a fact the Dominicans in black areas are more woke.

I always get a c00n vibe from the ones in Washington Heights and The Bronx tho.

In NYC that’s true. But I do think the ones in NJ and Miami did tho.

But in NYC most of the hate def came from other Caribbean kids.

What I was trying to say is that FL is way too damn small to judge an entire group of 40m ppl. Dominicans on the other hand their dislike towards Haitians meanwhile is ALMOST cultural.

As for Caribbean on Haitian dislike I heard of it mainly in Flatbush but things changed now for obvious reasons.

Miami is overstated to me because I get the general feel that people down there hate anyone that isn’t “them”. Jamaicans hating on Haitians while Cubans don’t like either.

Cubans hating on everyone etc.

Interesting. I had a similar cold expeirence with Cubans and Domincans in Miami. The male airline employees down there were haters, but what's weird was when they heard my accent their attitude changed 'slightly'.

When I was in Toronto, I hung around real cool Cubans and Dominicans where I didn't get any kind of vibe at all.

DR was an interesting to visit. The political relations b/w Dominicans & Haïtiens can be real fukked up at times since Birthright citizenship laws went into effect. It was wild meeting some Haïtiens who could speak Spanish but not French cause they were born in DR and that's all they know. Relations are still fukked up regardless. Some Business owners in DR know this and take advantage.

It's not uncommon to see Haïtiens as the majority of hospitality workers at these DR hotels & resorts.then when it comes time to pay them, they'll either underpay them, pay late, or some owners will even call DR version of ICE to have them deported back to Haiti.

And. I saw colorism runs extremely deep. The only type of Haïtiens out there in poverty are dark skin. Really uncomfortable once you start to realize how things work around tgere

Id visit again to check out the rest of the island but not in a rush

Isn't DR food the same as HT food?
Similar but there's differences.
