What difference does it make ? KD recovering anyway and all it costs is money . If he’s aroufn dropping knowledge on the young guys and say kyrie comes well still be a good young team until he recovers . Also we stop teaching the young guys to lose constantly . Draft Barrett and let them all play until KD returns . You guys rather a just do nothing approach Saving money for what ? And keep losing for what ?so we can hopefully get the fifth pick . Unless they say KD never can oplay again I’d risk it . It’s no riskier than doing nothing and sitting around

You want to give KD 30 mil to sit on the bench and wear suits?
:jagwtf:

Like Cousins had the same injury and had to take 5 mil, didn’t look the same, and got injured again. KD (if he finally smarten ups) is going to opt in and recover off the warriors dime. I can understand people next year saying “pay KD, he’s killing work outs” but Breh No..... If KD is dumb enough to test FA after an Achilles Tear and the Knicks sign KD too and this FO is wilding cause they ain’t learn shyt.

Real shyt...

If the mode next year is "try to win games with what we have", then I'm good with not breaking the bank on any top free agents and riding with our youth.

I just don't want to hear the word "tank" next year. That'll kill my whole vibe.

I want to just be in a thread of brehs who are ALL rooting for the win every night.

We could lose every game w/ the above vibe and I'd be happy.

I've been saying this. I mean why is it always "Let's sign FAs"? Do we have so little faith in our young players, our people is charge is drafting, our development team, our coaches? We haven't seen the Finals since 99, and the playoffs in damn near a decade. What's the rush? get a young group of players who are hungry, help them develop and fight to win and lets establish OURSELVES instead of always hoping for other teams' stars to come and save the day. :yeshrug:

Paying KD to sit out all of 19-20 and then having him for the 3 years after is money better spent than every single free agent out there other than Kawhi.

Comparing Cousins recovery to his is nonsensical, Durant's one of the greatest players of all time. There's a reason he can opt out and every single team who was gonna have a meeting with him would still make the same exact offer.

So the Knicks history of taking injured player from other teams continue (eg, Bargnani, Stoudemire, Noah, McDyss, Rose).

It doesn’t work for them .... it’s just the way it is.

I don’t trust Fiz or the development team, they need to show me they can actually do their jobs competently:hubie:

None of our young players are that promising. Mitchell probably has the most promise and his ceiling is defensive stud with limited offensive game.

We do not have anything close to a core to build around so if we add nothing to the roster it’s gonna be another awful year and then pray we get lucky in the lotto once again

I hear you and can understand that, but I'm willing to give this management a couple years to see :yeshrug:If it doesn't work out, change the structure (coach/development team) because otherwise we end up in the same spot when whatever FA leaves/retires. We need a solid foundation and it starts ther imo.

1) The failures of previous regimes have nothing to do with Perry, Mills, and Fiz

2) None of those players are relevant when discussing an all timer like KD
