Real shyt...

If the mode next year is "try to win games with what we have", then I'm good with not breaking the bank on any top free agents and riding with our youth.

I just don't want to hear the word "tank" next year. That'll kill my whole vibe.

I want to just be in a thread of brehs who are ALL rooting for the win every night.

We could lose every game w/ the above vibe and I'd be happy.

All in on D'Lo and the youth movement. I can breathe now and not worry about June 30th.

Every big move in my mind was centered around KD. I wouldn't want injury prone AD or mental case Kyrie on this squad alone. Get D'Lo, get assets and develop our youth
Kyrie is better than Dlo. Just cause he’s young ? Kyrie is a winner And has hit clutch shots in the most important situations

How about competitive losing?
:patrice:

Seriously though this last lottery was pretty good evidence that the whole thing is fixed and Silver fukking owes us for being calm and collected after this miss on Zion fukkery.
:pacspit:

I ain’t even worried about tanking let’s see what happens first

Solely for his youth and timeline with the rest of our youth.

I have no reason to believe Kyrie would do well here on his own as the guy. I barely liked the idea of him here with KD. My hope was always KD and Kawhi - now? No thanks.

Do you brehs have the diagnosis yet or what? I see a lot of cats saying he tore his Achilles but we don’t have the results yet. How about y’all take a chill pill before wilding out:martin:

Bruh his compressions did a fukking Harlem Shake. Given the location I hoped he just tore his calf and it was more severe than last time but if they're talking achilles that's a whole lot worse.

Trade targets if the Knicks strike out in free agency

Good list of trade options where we can bring back first rounders to take on unwanted contracts. Some of these are good, some terrible (though the article says so pretty clearly) and some unlikely to happen but at the proposed prices I'd take him (the multi-first rounder players). With KD's injury, things got a lot trickier and staying the course looks a lot more reasonable.
Yep, this has always been the other option if KD doesn't come. Use that cap space to acquire assets and continue to build from the ground up.

I'm not closing the door on KD yet though, gotta let the dust and hot takes settle first.

:francis: We're so fukked, the next 5 years are going to be so god damn depressing and shytty.

I don't think so. You just need competent people at the head of the organization. Look at the Nets, total turnaround once they fired King and got someone in there who had an idea what the hell they were doing.

The Knicks have a lot of assets and the ability to absorb bad contracts to get more. I think they're in a better place than they've been in a very long time

Even if KD didn’t get injured and didn’t sign with us we was still in a great place, which is where we’re at now. Just goes to show how so many were riding on those dudes. It’s all good and well but our plans just don’t end cause of him.
