Wes Matthews got the max after tearing his achilles :mjlol: the notion that KD wouldn't is nonsense

The only impact this injury has from a financial stand point is leaning him to stay and secure that 5th year of money only GS can offer.
You would think they'll have to amputate or he got AIDS by some of the reactions here.

He'll be back by New Year at around 80% and then hopefully better from there. Which is still better than Tobias Harris, Kemba and DLo at 100%.

I don't think so. You just need competent people at the head of the organization. Look at the Nets, total turnaround once they fired King and got someone in there who had an idea what the hell they were doing.

The Knicks have a lot of assets and the ability to absorb bad contracts to get more. I think they're in a better place than they've been in a very long time

Exactly. We didn’t get the first pick so I don’t believe we’re getting KD or any top FA. I don’t listen to or read on any news. I’m very confident on what we have right now and can’t wait to see RJ in action for us.

If BK can do it then Knicks sure can. I don’t know why most Knick fans stressing over the idea of competing for a chip now when it doesn’t work like that. I’m probably the only one who is ok with what we have right now :yeshrug:

Breh if these a$$holes sign a 31 year old KD to a fukking Max after an Achilles Tear.

:pacspit:
It would be a bad look cause now you have a bad injury compounded by decline due to age, which shortens his window that was already possibly at around 3-5 seasons. Severe injuries only steepen and speed up that decline.

If getting KD helps scoop Kawhi (fantasy?) that's a different story.

Brehs Kawhi about to beat GS..... he ain’t coming here to play with KD.

Like we’re going through grief as fans but accept it..... we got to get better the hard way by being smart.

This isn’t a process, this is just how it’s got to be

Realgm Knick fans gotta be the dumbest group of fans

Dudes talking about there glad we won’t get KD even before he got injured and we should strictly build around our young core just sign Malcolm Brogdon and in a few years we’ll be real good :mjlol:

The Achilles injury was going to happen, either now or later. The signs were there.

Would you rather it have happened after signing him???

At least we know, and now the cards are clearly on the table.

I don't think I've seen a single post that says any of this. There are some Brogdon fans on the board though, so I could see one or two posters saying something extreme but that's definitely not a common take.

If the Knicks aren't good for a couple years, then at least the Rangers look promising in their rebuild. They have some stud young prospects and have the #2 pick in the upcoming 2019 NHL Draft. They are expected to pick a franchise player in Kaapo Kakko from Finland, who many consider to be the best player in the draft (over the projected 1st pick - Jack Hughes, who is American).

At least one team that plays at MSG will be title contending soon:ehh:.

What difference does it make ? KD recovering anyway and all it costs is money . If he’s aroufn dropping knowledge on the young guys and say kyrie comes well still be a good young team until he recovers . Also we stop teaching the young guys to lose constantly . Draft Barrett and let them all play until KD returns . You guys rather a just do nothing approach Saving money for what ? And keep losing for what ?so we can hopefully get the fifth pick . Unless they say KD never can oplay again I’d risk it . It’s no riskier than doing nothing and sitting around

you ain't no real knicka if you pressed for a quick fix or thirsty for star signings.........we need to build it mobstyle & be able to throw the whole roster on the floor no leaning on one player no egos to feed*
Shut up . The league is a star league. It’s not a quick fix as you can win and develop players see the Celtics raptors . I been a Knicks fan all my life and this team lacks talent
