I think you pitch Kawhi first, give him everything you have then when he signs elsewhere, you blow it up and look for bad contracts. Kyrie and Jimmy Butler is the minimum caliber player i’d sign and Jimmy gonna get paid so that’s a no thanks as well.

Was never sold he was gonna get to NYC, but dang, hate it had to be KD :sadcam:

RJ and Mitch as cornerstones is looking real good right now, and I'm good with spending the next 10+ years of my life watching them develop.

Kyrie interests shifts back to the Knicks in 3...2...1...

I would grab DLo if the Nyets want Tobias and Kyrie and the follow through on Marcus Morris because he is a PF that fits well next to Mitch. Then let DSJ transition to bench buckets or trade him for another shooter/PF. Maybe Isaacs in Orlando. Maybe keep Jordan on a short deal or look to take on salary for picks/young guys

DLo
RJ
Knox
Morris
Mitch

Bench
DSJ
Frank
Dotson
Kornet

On the flip they better not bring Mudiay’s bum ass back. Cause I could see them doing something stupid like that, like they did with Timmy.

Honestly they should play the RFA market hard and see if they can get assets to take on a bad salary

It's not the same thing.

You can't just wait for AD.

Yes, you're wild for this. You're asking the Pelicans to do something you'd NEVER want the Knicks to do.

Roster by committee = build an average team. Philly is NOT building a team that way. Boston is NOT building a team that way. Phoenix is NOT building a team that way. ALL those teams won lotteries. If the Knicks won the lottery you know damn well you're not gonna ask them to trade Zion and "build by committee." Build by committee to you is have a team with nothing but young guys, God forbid one of them turns out to be great because the narrative you have with them and Zion will be the narrative you spew with whoever they have that breaks out.

All of what I'm saying is in the context of how New Orleans has fukked up with star players like CP3 and AD and had guys wanting out, as well as their market in general. If the Knicks had a similar history, I'd say the same thing - if one approach isn't working, I'd try something else, not keep crossing my fingers that it'll be different the next time around.

And I'm referring to Boston, Philly and Phoenix primarily because they're building cores with multiple lottery picks, them having #1's (Ayton has looked OK, Boston traded their #1, Simmons is good but flawed and may not be their best player compared to Embiid, who went top 3) doesn't factor in for me much. They have multiple core players that were top picks of their respective drafts. I'm wild for saying saying NO would likely be better off in the long run moving a #1 overall for multiple top 3, top 5 and top 10 picks over the past few years for what has happened to their organization and the way the leagues top teams are currently moving, I'm cool with that. :yeshrug:

Also I can’t help realizing how the Warriors have screwed us on multiple occasions.

Nabbing Curry right before us, cutting in front of us to get Kerr and now ruining our chances of getting a peak KD.

fukk that organization as a Franchise and a Crew

And what are they supposed to do groom RJ into a Star for another 5-6 years and trade em for picks and filler?

Or even better hope he doesn’t become a superstar so that he doesn’t want to leave.

CP3 and AD were never surrounded with good teams that could get over the hump. If RJ is a superstar and he has guys like BI, Ball, Knox, Mitch, all guys with star potential, he may not be in the same place the other two they've had are.

If I'm NO, I'm recognizing the difficulties had as an organization and suckering teams into buying in to all of the hype and taking as much as I can get for the hot commodity.

I'd trade 1 potential 10 for 6 or 7 potential 8's. Maybe too much fantasy league shyt. But I'd take the chance, especially considering the difficulties the organization has had with surrounding star players with talent to make them stay. :yeshrug:

They can obviously keep Zion and try to get the surrounding help when moving AD. I just think there's more they could do with it.

Didn't even see that this KD shyt was his Achilles until now.

Yeah, fukk it. Full youth movement. Try your hand at Kawhi, but that shyt won't happen. Sign Russell to an offer sheet and hope the Nets don't match, let the Nets get Kyrie if they're so enamored with him, trade Frank for a later draft pick and scoop up a 4, resign Vonleh and Hezonja and call it a fukking off season. Time to build with a young team.

What a piece of shyt move by GSW, even if it wasn't a calf/achilles injury, you don't throw a player out there after 4 weeks out and one practice where he really struggled to move :pacspit:

fukk him and his crocodile tears:pacspit:

This why you don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Take it on the chin and let’s keep moving. Warriors better do right by KD:ufdup:

We get the worst record, league lowers the lottery odds for the worst team.

We clear space for 2 max slots, everybody all of the sudden got room for 2 max players.

How come the league don’t want us man?

Now we can add:

We finally have a chance at signing a great free agent, he tears his achilles.

Fukk it man.

I know I’m gonna get shytted on for this. But we have money, no point in sitting on it. We gotta spend it. I’m tired of saying lets wait for next yr or next yr or next yr.

Sign Kemba and tobias. Doesn’t have to be for max, but it can be close to it or max fukk it.

Not every team is built to win rings, there’s only been like 5-7 teams who’ve won a ring in the last 30yrs.

With Kemba and Tobias, we’re a solid playoff team, possible 2nd round. If you want, trade for AD if he’s interested. Those 3 together can make the ECF or possibly finals. Lets get the Garden jumping again.

Kemba wants to stay in Charlotte. Kyrie is our best option. Maybe we can get him, Tobias and Morris. If RJ comes out flashy, Mitch and Knox have their season, we could be looking like Boston.
