Above the fray.
By no means am I questioning Mahomes talent. Probably already the most talented QB we have ever seen. But Kelce is arguably the greatest tight end ever. Definitely in the conversation. You think that doesn't factor in? That player who can get you that crucial first down or touchdown in crunch time? Lamar ain't got that.
Yeah Mahomes is money and he has a money receiver. A few key plays are the difference between winning or losing playoff games.

Thats one player. When Kelce was younger and better his teams were also rans in the playoffs with a quality vet at QB. Tyreek was there losing too.

If Mahomes was out there with the 9ers or even the Bengals weapons and putting up 40 pts then its one thing. But the bar was 17. Lamar had more than enough help to get to 17.
I'm not absolving Lamar of all responsibility. But you're minimizing Kelce by saying he's "one player". That one player had 11 catches for 116 yards and a TD against the #1 defense in the league.

He is literally one player :heh:. You can gameplan to slow one guy down. He can't kill you by himself. Its not like its the greatest show on turf out there and you just got playmakers everywhere no matter what you do. Zay had comparable yds and a TD on fewer catches...yet nobody is going on and on about Lamar's weapons.

Imma need the all 22 to see the running lanes Lamar Jackson didn’t take advantage of. I know most of us don’t know and are purely guessing.

But then again, you also believe the media got Lamar Jackson’s head. :russ:

Whose fault is that?

I don't need your co-sign, late last night, Shannon Sharpe mentioned the same EXACT thing. Hours after I made this post. He took it a step further and related it to Black qbs rather than just this one instance. But like he said, trying to prove a point.

And you don't need all 22 view for everything. Watch the game. You can see man coverage, nobody open downfield, you can see the gaps/running lanes are there, especially after he stood & held the ball. And if there was a LB Spying, it wasn't every play. And even if there was 1 LB spy on some plays, Jackson is more than capable of making a man miss for enough to pick up several yards

You always need to be right tho so I'll let you be. :yeshrug:

I can tell a lot of “coli” football analysis comes from playing Madden rather than understanding the actual NFL game being played :childplease:

I don;t care that you need or don't need co-sign. You ingest hot take garbage.

Shannon Sharpe is proudly part of hot take and controversy media.

You do when you aren't sure what you are looking at and don't know what you are talking about (which is 99% of this board, including you and me)

Brian Baldinger looked at the all 22 and broke shyt down:

Why did they only have two designed run plays?

Here are two plays that should be the same:

Same scenario a little later and Batemen doesn't go down field which forces them not to convert:

Lamar Jackson didn't have a good game yesterday, but there are more reasons and moments that fukked it up for the Ravens than just him.

Football takes smarts, but not genius. Stop acting like nobody knows football except NFL ppl. There's multiple ppl on this board who know what they're seeing to differing levels of understanding. I said last week the Ravens would lose this game for the EXACT reasons they lost.

You can clearly see, especially the 3rd and 1, he has gigantic lanes to run thru (outside or up the middle) for no less than 10 yards. Instead he waited forever for a WR to get open, instead of just taking the first down. Get outta here acting like he couldn't have gained 1 yard. He made terrible choices forcing himself to be a pocket passer. You don't shut down Jackson/Vick/etc. You just don't allow them to run for 120 yrds. He had plenty of chances and didn't take them.

Once the Chiefs saw he wasnt running, even for 1 yard, be that on his own, or designed runs, AND the RB was not getting carries, it was easy for them.

No reason for him to abandon running the ball like this.

Everytime he dropped back in the 2nd half, those gaps were available for him to pick up yards on the ground.

Unless he's hurt and doesn't want to run, he switched who he is as a player to appease the media narrative about him. :stopitslime:
lol yall realize the coach calls the plays and the OC makes up the scheme right? The issue was they were behind and panicked instead of just calming down and do what they do best (run the ball/pocket passing) lamar wanted to be a hero and make those big plays quickly.
