The Ravens need more offensive weapons. Mahomes legacy has been built in part due to the presence of Travis Kelce, who is in the conversation as greatest tight end ever. For one of his Super Bowls he had Tyreek Hill too. Brock Purdy is not mentioned with the greats but guess what he's going to the Super Bowl. He has McCaffrey, Debo, and Ayuk.

Who does Lamar have? :jbhmm:

This is the other reason is such a terrible offense to abandon the running game like they do every postseason. The best receiver he’s ever had is either Hollywood brown or a rookie this year. They’re calling 45+ passes and have just 3 guys who had even 450 receiving yards on the year and one of them was coming off a 2 month injury absence. Same as 2019 when they called 60+ passes in a playoff game when only 2 guys had even 350 receiving yards all season.
They paid a washed OBJ 15M this year. Just horrible personnel decisions

TYRONE GA!
That should be how it’s measured but we had fools on here saying this game was a legacy game for 2x MVP, 2x SB MVP, 2x SB champ, six straight AFCCG appearances, now most playoff game victories for a QB by age 30, 4 SB appearances in 6 years as an NFL starter Patrick Mahomes. shyt is crazy what gets posted for opinions on this site

As great as John Elway was (made it to the SB three times in 4 years in the 80s), those last 2 SB wins at the end of his career were huge for his legacy.

Lamar's isn't done by no means, but last night was disappointing. He'll be okay. But he getting this work.

Mark andrews - First game back from an ankle injury in weeks. You think he was ready to live up to his usual production?

All pro defense - Fair. But if you look at the players I mentioned the other QB's have weapons to give them POINTS.
Zay flowers - A ROOKIE? One who is obviously SUPER immature? Word?
Odell - How many years past his prime is he again? You realize that catch he had against Dallas was a DECADE ago come November?
Look at your list. Now compare that to the weapons Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, and even Purdy have.

Lamar got a designed 2 run plays the entire game. Edwards had 3 carries, Hill had 2.

I wanna understand how that was ever the gameplan going into the game. On their scoring drive they had an Edwards big run, Jackson big run ........ Then stopped running the ball

People are criticizing the Lions for not running more in the 2nd half, but they gave Montgomery more carries in the 2nd half than the Ravens AS A BACK FIELD the entire game

Mahomes legacy is built mostly on consistent amazing play...especially when such play was needed the most. nikkas just led the league in drops this year and this is SB number 2 minus Tyreek...bout time to stop the Mahomes weapons talk. Not that he doesnt have help (literally cant do anything without help) but his presence has made those weapons and the team not the other way around. Few teams are gonna be able to surround you with what the 9ers got.

Lamar my dude but the opposing team scored 17 pts in his stadium and won. This aint the game to harp on weapons.

By no means am I questioning Mahomes talent. Probably already the most talented QB we have ever seen. But Kelce is arguably the greatest tight end ever. Definitely in the conversation. You think that doesn't factor in? That player who can get you that crucial first down or touchdown in crunch time? Lamar ain't got that.

They kept running play-action too deep into the 4th quarter :mjlol: :heh:

You need to actually set up the run to make play-action work.

That OC or whoever was calling the plays was straight up ass.

Thats one player. When Kelce was younger and better his teams were also rans in the playoffs with a quality vet at QB. Tyreek was there losing too.

If Mahomes was out there with the 9ers or even the Bengals weapons and putting up 40 pts then its one thing. But the bar was 17. Lamar had more than enough help to get to 17.

I mean posters on this site and the media nudged and complained them into doing so even when it’s obvious for years that he was washed.
Think about how bad the receivers were before that it did in fact help them to spend that much on a dude who was clearly washed up and coming off an 18 month absence from an ACL tear :trash:

It helps to have a legitimately great coach too. There’s a stark difference between an all time great coach and a guy who knows offense like Andy Reid and John Harbaugh & whoever he has as his OC in any given year :francis:. 16 years into the job he’s had 7 different offensive coordinators and still hasn’t learned anything, instead choosing to 100% defer to all of them.

Indeed. He’s got time. I’ve been harsher on him than most on here but I’m not gonna act like this is his defining moment either. Dude is at the beginning of his peak years. The thing that sucks for him is so is Lavon.
