Like I said, the Chiefs did the same thing to the Dolphins and the Bills. Took away the intermediate and deep passes. You can't scheme your WR's open easily vs their passing defense. These last three weeks these opposing QB's have looked up after their drop was complete only to see everybody has been covered while they're sitting there holding the ball. Only Tua connected on a deep ball home run in-structure/stride.

Lamar needed to extend plays and give his WR's a chance to get open and hit them on the run. Dude needed to be an out-of-structure play maker today.

That play where he decided not to get the first down as well was :mindblown:

No help from any run plays either. Edwards was a non-factor because the Ravens OC made no effort to get dude the ball.
Your main RB getting 3 attempts for a play-off game is straight dumb.
Mind you they ran play-action a ton as well.
Running play-action without setting up the run game is :mindblown:
that's why I got 9ers over chiefs, CMC is the biggest weapon on their offense and shanahan knows it. Chiefs pass rush is abysmal and all that will do is open up the passing.

Mahomes causes teams to press. You get to a point in the game where you feel as if you don't take risks, he'll get the ball and close the door on your chances.

Lamar had a poor game, but so did Monken and Harbaugh.
then they want to play hero and go for big, stupid, risky plays to either get out in front or come from behind :dame:

Stop acting like nobody knows football except NFL ppl.
That is not what I said.

I said most people aren't analyzing the sport and don't know what they are watching and why things happen the way they do. Then you have clowns in the media who play into that for engagement.

You created a threat title called "Lamar Jackson Let the media critics get to his head," with no evidence of this.

There's multiple ppl on this board who know what they're seeing to differing levels of understanding.
I said that 99% of this board doesn't know what they are discussing, including you and me. I didn't say 100%.
I said last week the Ravens would lose this game for the EXACT reasons they lost.
And what was the EXACT reason they lost? You thought the number one rush offense in the NFL would only call 11 running plays? You thought Lamar Jackson wouldn't scramble and run more? Or was it, "Lamar Jackson Let the media critics get to his head."

You can clearly see, especially the 3rd and 1, he has gigantic lanes to run thru (outside or up the middle) for no less than 10 yards.
When I say most of us have no idea what we are talking about, this is why. The Chiefs were playing contain there. They weren't trying to sack him and didn't go up the field. You also severely underestimate how fast the Chiefs front is.

The better question is why are they in a shotgun spread to run a long play on 3rd and 1?

lol yall realize the coach calls the plays and the OC makes up the scheme right? The issue was they were behind and panicked instead of just calming down and do what they do best (run the ball/pocket passing) lamar wanted to be a hero and make those big plays quickly.
Every play Lamar runs is not a designed run play.

Who cares what the OC calls. Lamar has had legit OCs for past 10 yrs. You snap the ball, if what you want is not there, tuck it and run. He made his name doing this.

Baltimore drafted him and designed their offense around him BECAUSE of this ability.

They all assumed Patty was going to keep piling up the points instead of believing in they defense

Rofl. Come off it my guy.

And yes, they're playing contain and not over running into the backfiield, but there were at least 2 occasions on that ONE play where Lamar could have taken off and gotten 1 FREAKING YARD, if not several.

We're not talking about him making an entire defense look foolish like Louisville.
3rd and 1, 3rd and 5 even, he could have gotten those more than not.

The few times he did break it off and run, what happened? Even Romo was saying it multiple times. So Why didn't he? Well, you don't have to believe my reason, I'm just telling you what I think.

He wanted to prove on the big stage that he could win in the pocket, and abandoned who he really is. Him running, or even being a threat to run, would have changed up what the chiefs were doing.

Yeah they blitzed him alot, but those plays are a different story

Honestly, he looks too heavy imo. I think it had a lot to do with his knee injuries and not being able to really put in work this summer.

Monken called a game where the Ravens rushed 5 times

5 TIMES!!

Let me repeat that... MONKEN CALLED A GAME WHERE THE RAVENS RAN THE BALL 5 TIMES

You're the #1 ranked rushing team in the NFL and you run the ball 5 times.. How??

According to @Based Lord Zedd that goofy better than Multiple super bowl winning OC's.

Lamar had 45 dropbacks and the Running backs ran the ball 6 times in a CLOSE game.

Monken objectively did a better job this year than McDaniels.

Post your analysis of the games Josh called in Vegas.

Are the Patriots going to hire him again? He's available.

You hand a league MVP to McDaniels and he Making it to the Super Bowl, plain and simple.

Wake me up when that goofy drawing plays and making adjustments(something he couldn’t do in the AFCCG) during a SUPER BOWL Game. Sometimes the other team comes up with a defensive scheme that you need to figure out.
