aiight breh, u changing the rules this year. :hubie:

he made a strong point though. this year isn't like other years where you had HOF QBs putting up dominant offensive performances making it easy to give them the MVP. there's still 2 weeks left but the qb leaders of the mvp race so far look nothing like past MVPs stats or eye test performance wise. which is why a simple bad game from purdy caused him to tank in the mvp odds while another player on his team (CMC) skyrocketed. if there is a year when you can easily give it to a NON QB, it should definitely be this year. i like lamar but his 2023 season doesn't remotely compare to his 2019 MVP season. the other QBs are having good seasons but none are having a standard MVP caliber season, so give it to the white boy running back who is the engine of arguably the best team in football while getting ready to hit 2000+ all purpose yards by season's end.

This. Nggas are forcing it a) bc they’re the best team, and b) he’s a breh and the type of breh we fw

Nothing about Lamar’s season has been mvp. His passing numbers aren’t there and he isn’t even running it either. The only thing Lamar has done is not had that bad game that stains him. That Dak had, that Purdy had.

I hope Tyreek goes off next week and miami wins. Give it to Tyreek. If Lamar wins mvp it’s the weakest mvp in years. It’s not gonna make any sense looking back when Tua and Dak have better numbers on teams with identical records. I’ve never seen a ngga get so gassed up to go 23/35 for 250 yards. :heh: It’s almost like we’re surprised when Lamar has a solid pass game.

Defenses have adjusted so stats are down.

The typical MVP favorites like Mahomes and Allen are having down years in the win column.

Tyreek has big numbers but they lost just about every big game on the schedule. Against the 4 teams with winning records he averaged 76 yards and has only 1 touchdown. They lost three of those games. All of his big games were against bad teams. The Phins have beaten 1 team with a winning record so Reek and Tua's stats look funny in the light. They've had a cupcake schedule.

Lamar has no Andrews and a decent WR group that isn't going to put up big numbers. He is leading the team in rushing yards which is huge considering the massive injuries they've had at the position. Being the best team in the league counts for MVP voting. The Ravens have beaten 9 teams with a winning record.

If we're being honest, Dak should be over Lamar in the race. And I extremely dislike dak.

Allen is a realistic number one because if he had the ravens defense, they'd be a lock for the bowl

Richard Sherman :mjpls:

Dude threw out pure numbers and you reply with “:mjpls:

This shyt is gross. Never mix your ’woke’ with sports. So nobody can say a cross word about Lamar bc he a hood ngga is basically what yall sayin

And Sherman BEEN one of ‘us’. That’s how you know yall on bullshyt

Eric Mangini said it weeks ago, oh he’s racist. Jeff Saturday said it, oh he’s racist. Shannon Sharpe said it, oh he a c00n. Now Sherm said it and I guess he a c00n now too. How many different types of people have to say it before it’s valid?!? They are right and even in this thread full of brehs it’s clear people agree: MVP has NEVER been graded like this and this would absolutely be the worst statistical MVP in years

There's been times where non HOF QB's won it without putting up elite numbers but they at least led the league in QB stats,.Lamar doesnt lead in shyt. And this isnt the first year where QBs thrown sub 40 TD passes either.

So Jeff Saturday on First Take in an effort to knock Lamar's MVP run said "Lamar is averaging only 170 yards passing in his last five games". That's kind of a trash stat, Lamar runs more than your typical qb, so why arent his rushing yards accounted for? I looked it up and one of those 170 yard games, he had almost 100 yards rushing. Then I looked at the numbers and saw Jeff was just wrong on his stat as a whole.

Last 5 games
Bengals - 264 passing/ 54 rushing
Charges - 177/39
Rams - 316/70
Jags - 171/97
49ers - 252/45

Just passing, he would be at 236 a game, not 170. With rushing he averaging 297 his last 5 games.

Like if Im looking at the right stats, Lamar at over 4k total yards of offense.

"We can't give it to Purdy because his team is stacked"

Ok then...

"We can't give it to Dak because his team record"

Fair enough

"We can't give it to Lamar because of his stats!!"

What the heck do you guys even want??? And don't say a non QB if Kupp didn't get it that one year because :mjpls: then thats dead for good

I dunno if yall like to argue just to argue but it doesnt matter what we want, it matters how the award is given. Stats pretty much make up the award.
Its not that hard to figure this out
