Honestly this is one of the reasons why black people (particularly us of the Americas) can't collectively get on the same page and thrive in uniformity. We all have these different notions, ideas, and beliefs of who we are and where we come from. The histories and waters have been so muddied and distorted, ties to forefathers and ancestors, buried or severed, that now it's just a big confused mess.

No. The reason black people cant get on the same page is because of white supremacy and lack of focus. Take this thread for instance:

Umm isn’t your theory that man started in Africa? So how come the white man isn’t called African too since he was originally out of Africa according to your theory? If black people were here first then wouldn’t they be the first ones on other lands besides Africa?
And calling it escapism is just armchair psychologist shyt. History doesn’t start at the slave trade and that’s that cac shyt to start it from there and go forward. So yes it is limiting to revert every black person to Africa when black people were the first in EVERY LAND not just Africa. And they should be referenced as such.

I agree with the WS bit. But that focus that you're alluding to is something that was supposed to have been intrinsically installed in us via a strong culture that is inherited or passed down from our forefathers. That connection's been destroyed.
