That doesn't even make sense, man. A lot of those drill rap songs get popular without radio or major labels promoting. They do try to hop on when the buzz is there so they can capitalize. Right before Don't Like blew up more "conscious"/nongangsta rap was the mainstream of rap. Chief Keef had local buzz and when he got more ears nation wide, the kids chose drill rap.
