People are still going to buy the nextbox.

EA is the worst company in America according to some shyt I heard online yet they still sell a bunch of games. People will complain, buy it and then just deal with it. :yeshrug:

How are they going to just disenfranchise millions of consumers like that? You still have millions of people in this country who still use dial up. Sony about to comeback like Jordan wearing the 45 if this is true.

that's their problem. honestly if they wanna live in piece of shyt areas that can't get access to broadband that's their fault.

the guy that games on Xbox Live and is a gold member that's their bread and butter. those are the guys that drive the profits. the people you're talking about they likely aren't the ones buying multiple titles every month and playing heavily.

Microsoft is basically cutting the fat out. the Xbox 360 wasn't a kids console to begin with. all the popular franchises are adult games.

It's not a problem for you but it's still a problem for alot of would be durango purchasers who don't want to deal with a potentially bricked console in the future if they don't have broadband internet or if like me they have a broadband internet connection that goes out constantly.

Xbox just took away from themselves millions of customers imo.
tell them to go buy a Wii U if they wanna live like dinosaurs. no internet needed.

as for an unstable internet connecting you should probably get a better ISP. my cable Internet has gone out less than 5 times i can remember in the last year. its very rare that my internet has gone out even back when i had DSL.

:what: that's still money breh. Single Player gaming is STILL alive & drives people to buy games.

And plenty of kids buy gaming systems...we all started when we were kids. :why:

fukking WOW. What a coddled prick. I hope he loses his job over this PR disaster in the works.

My internet is pretty damn reliable, but if this is even remotely true, I'm not buying just off principle.

You're out of touch and you don't even know it. Just because YOU and the people YOU know have steady reliable Internet service doesn't mean everybody else does. Last year I went to college in Stillwater (OK ST.) and the whole university apartment zone was notorious for some shytty, cheap Internet service. It worked but it was extremely choppy and sensitive to traffic. To make matters worse, the apartment complexes (all owned by 1 guy) wouldn't allow residents to use their own Internet provider, since Internet was a fixed rent cost. They wouldn't even let you pay them to use a different service. This Xbox just wouldn't be able to run smoothly there.

but how if they don't have the internet? this is the problem. Some people simply do not game online.

The way this sounds is you are buying a brick system if you have poor or no internet connection. IF the game cuts off everytime your internet goes out...its a :flabbynsick: console from the start.

they're trying to eliminate used game sales and cut down on piracy. an always online console helps them accomplish that. the core gamer that buys 4-5 games a month and games online will still buy this. in comparison you're talking about them giving the cold shoulder to a child that likely gets games on their birthday and Christmas and maybe one other occasion in a year.

this company knows that their target audience won't likely be affected by this at all. will there be some collateral damage yeah but to them its a necessary cost to lock down the console.

:childplease: This sounds like some microsoft fanboy shyt "Microsoft is not the problem, you are". Sony has just won the console war of the next generation.

True. That's really an issue some people need to consider. Your internet is prone to fukking up once in a while and that "while" can be in the middle of a prolonged boss fight. I'd be on  motherfukka if my game cut off and I lost progress while I was in the middle of some important sequence.
