How are they going to just disenfranchise millions of consumers like that? You still have millions of people in this country who still use dial up. Sony about to comeback like Jordan wearing the 45 if this is true.

I know plenty of lil kids with xboxes that aren't connected to the net due to parents being cautious. Hell my xbox been offline for a long time itself and it still connects to live.

personally i don't see anything wrong with an always connected console. like i previously said when they sold you a disc based console that had an optional internet connection it got hacked and pirated to hell. if they sell you a console that doesn't play games off disc and always has to be online its a way to protect themselves.

in all honesty i'm already always connected to the internet when i game on a console so the requirement changes nothing for me. hell for their core base who are serious gamers this will change nothing as they always log onto Xbox Live to game.

It's not a problem for you but it's still a problem for alot of would be durango purchasers who don't want to deal with a potentially bricked console in the future if they don't have broadband internet or if like me they have a broadband internet connection that goes out constantly.

Xbox just took away from themselves millions of customers imo.

the above quote is the problem. You are alienating millions of people who don't have internet. Now they have no use for your system & there are plenty of Xbox360 users who bought the system & don't have Xbox Live Gold
