At the time rumors were going wild.

Gamepass would be canceled
All xbox games were being announced for playstation
Microsoft was gonna stop making games for xbox.
Microsoft was gonna drop the xbox name
Etc.

The announcement was to quell most of that.

His actual statement

Sony does have to put their games on other platforms.

Guess they incompetent too :ehh:
There's a difference between putting Forza Horizon 5 on the PS5 and putting a throw away Lego Horizon game on the Nintendo Switch.

Yes. just you stans narratives and goalposts :mjlol:
You're just never going to admit that their intended business model failed and this is a pivot. The same guy that pulled Starfield off PlayStation upon purchase of Bethedsa is the guy putting Forza Horizon 5 on PlayStation. A complete 180.

Phil Spencer in 2021
"But for an Xbox customer, the thing I want you to know is that this is about delivering great exclusive games for you that ship on platforms where Game Pass exists," he continues. "That's our goal, that's why we're doing this, that's the root of this partnership that we're building. The creative capability we're gonna be able to bring to market for Xbox customers is gonna be the best it's ever been for Xbox after we're done here."
Phil Spencer in 2025
Our strategy is allow our games to be available. Game Pass is an important component to playing the games on our platform. But to keep games off of other platforms, we don't think is the path that we're gonna .. That's not a path for us. It doesn't work for us."

The games are already playable on PC, and you can play your xbox games going all the way back 25 years ago on your current xbox hardware.

It’s sony and nintendo that has and will pull the plug on people’s content, no matter how much they “win” the console war.

You talmbout what “most care about” is just your opinion.

The facts are xbox hardware and software is still the most secure today, as far as consumer rights and privileges.
It's the opinion of many if you look at the sales of xbox consoles declining

It’s been the same shyt from jump.

I can post some quotes from nutella before that talking about how they wanted xbox on everything just like office or their other subscriptions.

This has always been the direction they’ve been heading.

It’s been a slow burn as they figure out what works, but the ultimate goal since nutella OK’d the new generation of xbox has been to be the number one publisher in the world.

What’s funny is you stans talk about a pivot but smooth act stupid when it comes to playstation.

Their statement on May 30th of last year

Speaking at this year's Sony Business Briefing, Hulst explained that Sony has a "dual approach" to game releases. "On the live-service side, we're releasing our titles simultaneously, so day-and-date on PS5 and PC," he explained. But with the publisher's "tentpole titles" (big budget singleplayer games like God of War and Horizon: Forbidden West) Hulst says they take a more "strategic approach

:wow:

Now a sony stan such as yourself would claim sony was some liars and have conceded to console war to nintendo.

But of course you’re narratives change based on who you want to stan :wow:

You went from taking about the security of xbox software to talking about the sales of the console.

New Goalposts and strawmen always from you stans.:smh:
I am just pointing on for the part about "care" also library isn't safe on xbox. If/when they pull the plug on xbox hardware I don't have access to my xbox purchases if it's not play anywhere. I won't have access to games like witcher, cyberpunk, elden ring, and a lot of popular titles purchased on xbox because it's not play anywhere. If Phil was smart he would've made all of their games play anywhere to allow them to pivot and strengthen windows store. At the moment there's a strong possibility of many xbox users losing most of their library
