what exactly are we basing better handles on?

KD gets stripped alot more than Melo ever did, I've seen his cookies get taken from Kevin Love of all people

Did you forget that KD is 6'10? And Melo doesn't dribble penetrate from the top of the key like KD does nor does he run the floor as much. He gets stripped because he's upright when he handles the rock.

Who the fukk is talking about greatest handles of all time? And Odom for his size had excellent handles. It's the reason why The Lakers were so successful because they could run the triangle through Odom. And I'm comparing Durant's handles with Melo's.

:snoop:

The analogy went right over your head.

My point was that you don't get bonus points for being tall and able to dribble. Melo doesn't get bonus points for having excellent handles at 6'7 so what is this new standard you're setting?

At the end of the day, Melo has better dribble moves...that is what's being compared...not height

So just because Durant has a wet jumper he's a better offensive player than Melo to some of y'all? So I guess Ray Allen is a offensive juggernaut, huh?

Melo's seamlessly made the transition from SF to PF, can score on the block, from outside, off the dribble ... Durant has a great j but I've never really seen a wide array of post moves from the guy. When has Durant consistently scored in the post?

Melo is just so much more versatile. But I expect every Durant j to go in, it's that automatic.

You do realize Durant SCORES in the post this year and is the most efficient player in the league from there. Lol at pf like durant doesn't play pf. If he played of fulltime he'd average a double double. Durant scorers off the ball on the ball in the post from 3, from the line off pnr pick and pop isolations from mid etc its not even debatable his has a better floater as well.

Durants shooting 40 50 90 right now what melo shooting?

I said consistently score in the post. Durant likes to roam the perimeter a lot more than he posts up. Nothing wrong with that, but that's just what he does. He's not going to bang for 48 minutes in the post, nor does he have a great set of post skills.

Of course he's efficient though, he's a great shooter. It really isn't a slight against him to say that Melo is a better all-around scorer though. We all know Durant gets it done, he has 3 straight scoring titles.

So basically melos a better all-around scorer cause he post up less efficiently :deadrose:. I'm fine with durants 5-6 post up per game better then last year. truthfully i think melo being a better scorer is one of those old myths. the argument is always "well he has a variety of moves" if he had a variety of ways to score wouldn't he be more efficient from everyone on the floor as well as averaging more PPG?

No, Melo is a better scorer because unlike Durant he has a better post game. First of all, I doubt Durant is taking 6 shots in the post a game (not including dunks/layups), so if he only takes a couple and makes both of those, voila!, what an efficient performance.

And besides that, if we really want to be technical Melo has been better %-wise from 3 point range so you can add that to his advantage over Durant. Not to mention the fact that he turns the ball over less than Durant.

Durants a tough cover because he's lanky and can get a shot over anyone, and has a good first step. Melo is a tougher cover because he has the agility, power, strength and offensive array to get a shot against anyone.

:melolaff:

KD is shooting 43% and Melo 44%

KD's career's 3pt% is 36% and Melo's 33%

From Post-ups which is 12.1% of Durants entire offense he is scoring at the rate of 1.17 PPP on 54% shooting

From Post-up Which is 18% of Carmelo's entire Offense he is scoring at the rate of 1.01 PPP at the rate of 49% shooting. has has only taken 10 more shots from post up then durant there.

and btw stop making up stats carmelo is shooting a lower percentage from 3 and is only shooting 80% from the line :beli:

'melo a trill nikka on the offensive end, only Kobe, Sabo, and KD have the ability to murk nikkaz in that way. LeBron's all brute force, his jumper ain't on 'melo's level.
