From Post-ups which is 12.1% of Durants entire offense he is scoring at the rate of 1.17 PPP on 54% shooting

From Post-up Which is 18% of Carmelo's entire Offense he is scoring at the rate of 1.01 PPP at the rate of 49% shooting. has has only taken 10 more shots from post up then durant there.

and btw stop making up stats carmelo is shooting a lower percentage from 3 and is only shooting 80% from the line :beli:

Hoopdata Player Stats - Kevin Durant
Hoopdata Player Stats - Carmelo Anthony

So Melo takes more 3's and is hitting a higher/identical percentage ... and y'all take that as him being worse than Durant? OK.

When did I ever say Melo shot a better % overall? I said THREE-POINT %. As in, as of 12/13/2012, Carmelo Anthony is shooting better than Kevin Durant from 3-point range.

Then in this same thread I agreed that Kevin Durant was a more efficient overall scorer.

Sure Durant is more efficient but Carmelo is a much more diverse scorer which is what the topic was about. His offensive arsenal makes him harder to guard. So you can continue to have this argument over efficiency ratings, or just agree to disagree. I'm not going to discredit Melo just because he's more of a volume shooter than Durant and/or has issues with shot selection. He's just (in my eyes) a tougher overall matchup.

Sheesh. Look at the support for Teflon Durant.

This topic is on WHO is harder to guard, please explain to me how a less-efficient scorer is harder to guard, was Allen iverson harder to guard then Michael Jordan :stopitslime:.

Players lose handle all the time lol at this buffonery:heh:

Thank you for not answering my question.

Did you forget that KD is 6'10? And Melo doesn't dribble penetrate from the top of the key like KD does nor does he run the floor as much. He gets stripped because he's upright when he handles the rock.

How is he better off the dribble? The only thing that you've established in this argument is that he's taller.

Explain what he can do that Melo can't. Melo is more than capable of getting to the rim from the perimeter, and he has more moves off the dribble to get his shot off. Also, being able to run the floor isn't an indication of ballhandling ability as much as it is athleticism. I think we can all agree that Durant is the better athlete btwn the two.

Lol, you've gotta be joking. There are plenty of efficient players. Hell, Kobe before this year wasn't too efficient ... does that make him easier to guard than say, Carl Landry?

Stop it.

Kobe can still play dense when he wants. He shut Ivring last night on a couple possessions, but yes overall his defense has been terrible so far.

I think its because of that runa nd gun offense theyre playing. That shyt worked well with PHX bc they had a fairly young but talented ass team. Bean is in what his 17th season? Dude been playing since 96. Thats a lot of mileage. Not making any excuses but basketball wise he's a dinosaur

That analogy is so off.

Man KD aint no 6'9 dude is more like 6'11. But :what: him being 5 pounds heavier than Melo?? but being rail thin

Those numbers are wrong. Carmelo about 20lbs heavier then that. He weighs about the same as Lebron but obviously not as muscluar. Dont confuse that with assuming that he is considerably weaker sinply because of lack of definition. Players always bring up that his power is underrated. Next game, look at :salute: and :gladbron: next to eachother and see that these two are same size actually. Durant's about 220 or so with his lanky ass.
