he really is. i am tempted to say hakeem but... with his height and length kobe could beat all bigs too. just too many weapons
So did Mike not exist in your world? A prime Mile would make a prime Kobe cry on the court. Everything Kobe does as a 1on1 player Mike did better, plus he was just a more explosive athlete. Not to mention he was mentally tougher. Best of 5, Mike 3-0.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

Prime KG would give him a good game, I remember Tmac was on a tear once, and the Wolves used KG to guard him for the whole game. Dude couldn't get by him or even get a good shot off at the rim.

mike just a lil short at 6'4. he would have more problems trying to guard bigs ie magic abusing him in the post in the finals. kobe is the biggest, most athletic player, of that skill level. so one-on-one all time overall i must go with kobe bryant

mike could beat kobe and everything but that doesnt take in the bigger picture of the question

Durant on pace to join the 50/40/90 and the 65 ts% club :umad: while averaging 29ppg

:ld:

I'd still take Kobe over him. Better athlete. Better defender. Better skill off the dribble. Durant is like a more athletic wing Dirk. Kobe is just a clone of MJ. I'll take the MJ clone over the better version of Dirk.

When things went wrong in MJ career he retired 2 times, when things went wrong in Kobe career he stayed and played through it until people respected him...which they still don't. MJ is not on Kobe level when it comes to mental toughness. MJ is no where near the scorer that Kobe is and that has been confirmed years ago. Explosive?? watch the highlights MJ had ups but he was no where near the explosiveness and creativity Kobe was. Kobe was a And1 player back in the days, crazy dunks he used to do. Stop putting MJ far ahead of Kobe because Kobe is showing right now why he is better than MJ.

What the goddamn fukks does that even mean?

its kind of like it is in boxing the way they have pound for pound ranking. you rank based on an overall assessment of who would be the most dominant. all fighters have certain weaknesses to certain styles yet you rank on who you think would be the most dominant overall

for example i think jordan is a better player than hakeem but in a overall one-on-one sense i would rank hakeem ahead of him. he would dominate more in that context

Durant isn't fukking with 03 Kobe.

9 straight 40 point games.

16 straight 35 point games.

NBA record 12 3's in a game.

30/7/6/2/1

Top 3 perimeter defender.

The problem is you can't get through some people cause they never played sports and all they can do is read box scores. The fact this nikka is posting shooting % as some indication of one on one ability is just hilarious. Steve Nash has crazy percentages across the board but I don't think anyone would say he has a prayer of a chance one on one against Russell Westbrook. To post KD's 50/40/90 as evidence he could beat Kobe one on one is laughable.

One on one is about being able to beat your man off the dribble and being able to contain your man from beating you off the dribble. PERIOD. These are two skills which Kobe is arguably the GOAT at. Only Mike could legit be compared to him when it comes to beating his man one on one and being able to contain his man from beating him one on one.

If you look at Durant game you'll see alot of his point come of catch and shoot situations. He can beat his man off the dribble but his game is largely about screens and catch and shoot. Those aren't going to available when playing one on one. There's no one to give you a screen and Serge Ibaka ain't standing behind you to block the shot once your man beats you off the dribble.

03 Kobe is unmatched when it comes to beating his man one on one and stopping his man from beating him off the dribble. You gotta remember this was the dude that could hang with Allen Iverson off the dribble. AI had maybe the quickest first step in NBA history and Kobe could hang with him. Sure Kobe got burned by AI but he also got the better of him as well in some games. I would take 03 Kobe without hesitation over Durant.

2013 Durant vs. 2013 Kobe however would probably go to KD cause Kobe ain't as quick and athletic as he used to be.

Your off topic to what i'm trying to say.....Oh and btw, MJ had ALOT of rest when he retired those two times. Kobe played through injuries, never complained, never retired, he's still in the league tired as fukk and putting up big numbers. If Kobe gets 1 more ring he will go down as the most tought/goat player to have ever played the game of bball.
