WITHOUT QUESTION i'm taking a 24 year old kobe over a 24 year old durant......KB8 was just un-fukkING-stoppable, he averaged 30points 7 boards and 6 dimes a game to go along with 2 steals a night.... while guarding the teams best player on the perimeter shutting them down...

I'm pretty sure 100/100 people who watch and understand the NBA would take prime, athletic, focused Kobe defense over any defense KD has ever played. There isn't even any thought about this.

Kobe had a post game. Durant still works off his jumper. Oh, by the way, Kobe had a jumper back then. Maybe not as pretty and consistent as KDs now, but factor in his ability to drive (which KD has as well) and his post game, and he seems to have the better arsenal of offensive weapons.

And I really don't see anything in KDs mentality and focus approaching Kobe's killer instinct. I've never been one to put a lot of faith into shyt like CRUNCH TIME or CLUTCH , but Kobe is absolutely ruthless. Durant looks like a little kid with his post-game backpack and nerd glasses, and I'll never forget how he looked like he wanted to cry after the 2011 WCF. Oh, and he did end up crying after the 2012 Finals.

No shame in crying, but 2003 Kobe would have murdered his own mom to win a game. Hell, that's pretty much been Kobe his entire career. It's not something you develop, it's just an innate desire and will. Never seen anybody as determined and coldblooded when it comes to getting Ws as Kobe.

I see you have a 1st grade level of reading the English language to go along with your basketball knowledge. Please tell me where I said KD didn't have a post game.

I just didn't bring his post-game up because it's still pretty weak. He's a thin guy without much mass, and due to his ridiculous height and length, he has a really awful center of gravity. He gets pushed off spots very easily. Hell, I remember in 2011 Shawn Marion and JASON KIDD were pushing KD all the way out to 20+ feet away from the basket.
