Even tho I considered him the enemy ever since he came in the league I always respected his game and his work ethic. I considered him the enemy because he was so good and he destroyed my team 4 times a season for so long it made me dislike him but I never denied his greatness.

Dude outworked everyone! I use his work ethic for inspiration when I'm in the gym to put out that extra rep when my body wants to give up.

Salute to Kobe, I appreciate everything he's given to the game and inspiring me to find that extra fuel in the tank to try outwork the next man. Kobe was all about getting the most you can out of your circumstances and controlling what you can control through maximum effort and living with the results.

May God bless him, his daughter, and all the others that died in the accident as well as their families and friends.

My favorite Kobe moment was the end of the 2001 All Star game. There was an understanding by everyone on the court that he was the ultimate closer, and the West gave him all the room to do it. I remember thinking to myself “this niqqa is this young and already got it like THAT?” I never took that for granted. Even for all of his bad shot taking I thought he took, even in his bad shots, I never saw a player get off a shot repeatedly that it ALWAYS looked like the shot was a possibility as the ball was leaving his hands. Even on his bad shots. And when those bad shots dropped, there was absolutely nothing a team could do about it.

Its so heartwarming seeing fellow NBA players grieve and celebrate the life of Kobe. It isnt some manufactured love and adoration you typically see after other deaths. They really fukked with the Mamba.

Wade
Lebron
Giannis
Derozan
Kyrie
Kawhi
Chef
Klay
Jalen
Dirk
PG13
Dame

and countless others loved Kobe and showed it while he was still here

He took so much time out with the young brehs that revered him, and put the work in where the game will live on through him :wow: we talked the past few yrs about Kobe’s “sons” and I think this will push a lot of em to greatness.

Not to mention dudes in high school and probably middle school who view Kobe as Jesus who will be in the league over the next decade

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has honored many NBA greats, and in August it will enshrine someone who’s gone far, far too soon.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame fully expects to induct Kobe Bryant as part of its 2020 class. Bryant was killed along with his daughter Gianna and seven others in a helicopter crash on Sunday.

Bryant was part of the 2020 class of nominees that was announced in December, which includes Muggsy Bogues, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and Tim Hardaway.

The 2020 Hall of Fame class will be officially announced in early April.

Above the fray.

Kobe was born the son of a pro athlete, but he worked like he was trying to take his entire family out of the projects.
