Like I said Kobe has never been in a position where he's about to be eliminated and lose a championship only to have someone else save him in the last seconds.
I love Swag's selective reasoning.
Apparently, if someone hits the crucial game-winning shot that keeps you from going down 2-1 or 3-1 or 3-2, it "doesn't count". It ONLY counts if you are already down 3-2 or tied 3-3.
Apparently, if you're up 1-3 points and Artest makes the shot of the game, it "doesn't count", you weren't saved, no big deal, etc. But if you're up 1-3 points and Kobe makes the shot of the game, it's "one of the greatest clutch shots in playoff history".
Apparently, if you are saved by someone else in the earlier rounds, it "doesn't count". It ONLY counts if you're "saved" by someone else in the Finals.
Apparently, if the refs give you a 27 to 7 free throw edge in the 4th quarter of the elimination game that you'd otherwise have lost, or foul out the other team's two star players along with giving you a 37-16 free throw edge with allows you to come back from a huge deficit, or fail to make an obvious foul call that would have allowed the other team a chance to tie the game, or give you your last 12 points on free throws because you can't hit a shot all game, it "doesn't count". It ONLY counts if it's a jump shot that makes the difference.
Apparently, if the game was tied and it's Kobe involved, then it doesn't matter what happens because Kobe was going to win anyway. But if the game is tied and Lebron is involved, then Lebron was "saved" because he was obviously going to lose (even though he wasn't even behind).
This is the WOAT Swagnificient "eye test". Any scenario, ever, can be flipped on its head.
Kyrie still saved him while he watched from the corner like the rest of us.
And FYI, Kyrie is the only guy who hit a FG in the last 4 minutes of that game. LeBron scored his points early in the 4th quarter before the pressure turned up.
When that happened LeBron went into his scared passive mode watching Kyrie take the biggest shot of the series.
Completely selective bullshyt.
Lebron hit a floater to put the Cavs up three with 7:15 left.
Three huge clutch free throws after fouled on a three to cut a 4-point deficit to 1 point with 5:24 left
A three-pointer to give the Cavs a two point lead with 4:53 left.
Missed a jumper, then got a layup tipped with 3:00 left.
Had the huge block of Iggy on the breakaway layup with 1:50 left.
Missed a floater with 1:25 left.
Got fouled on a dunk and made the game-sealing free throw with 0:11 left.
Tell me, at what point did Lebron suddenly revert into your mythical "passive mode"?
Lebron was 2-6 from the field and 4-5 from the line for 9 points in the final eight minutes of the game.
Kyrie was 1-4 from the field and 0-0 from the line for 3 points in the final eight minutes of the game.
But who was watching who again?
