Yeah he should if he would like win more championships or at least maximize the potential of his current squad. This isn't him and Shaq and a bunch of role players in a superstar per team league. This certainly ain't him and Smush and co. You have a team full of proven scorers and Kobe as great as he still is is no longer capable of carrying the load that he once did. He certainly shouldnt' be expected to lead the league in assists but him leading the league in shot attempts and ppg won't get the job done with this current roster.

Once the lakers go on the road and these same forced passes are being dropped and the shots are missed and the lakers are down 14 as usual kobe will go into "Mamba mode" and get his 36 points on 29 shots and the lakers will lose by 10

It's him and I don't think anyone here blames him. Even though he asked for it, banning the dude from this forum is cruel and unusual punishment. What was he supposed to do without the coli? Leave his house?
I don't know why he still thinks he's fooling anyone by denying it though. He when he used that alias to start

THere was no point in you comparing January numbers to December numbers.

This isn't the first time he has had a phase where he was a willing passer. I can think of countless other times where he did this and people thought he had changed for good but once his teammates have a spell where they miss a few open shots, he throws this in the bushes and never looks back and his Stans don't blame him. It's apparently just fine for him to lose faith in his teammates when they miss a few shots in a row even though he never ever loses faith in those contested fadeaways

It's not like his teammates miss "a few shots in a row", you act like these dudes are sharpshooters that go through streaks where they miss. No, these are dudes who shoot criminally low %'s.

they have about the same average as the last 2 years before...
That's why I said in my reply to Skippy that people should also be mentioning their (what looks like) improved defense just as much as Kobe's passing.
Their problem most of the year has really been their defense and turnovers, leading to fastbreak points. Not Kobe's shooting.
But why use logic when it relates to Kobe and the people that love to criticize him, lol.

Prior to the Utah game, Kobe was averaging LESS than 5.6 assists right? So please compare the Lakers overall January record with the December record.
YOu are actually saying there is a direct correlation between kobe's assists and the lakers wins.

nah they only took 74 shots... but shot 55% from the field... that was definitely the passing..
but if they win 5 in a row, expect the teams to converge on Kobe and trap him at the pass..
then we will get to see if they can improve the Defense
