He is not damned if he plays this way. He is damned because this type of play is not something he can commit to long term and he is going to revert back to his previous ways. Kobe fans are always saying how assists are just happenstance and that Kobe doesn't have the luxury of teammates that shoot 100% from the field like all of the other supporting casts.

I meant on the coli. You know people nitpick. You do it, lol. It makes for nice debate, but still. And if he doesn't commit, then hey, you're right. He's never had to do this type of thing just to make the playoffs, so that right there may be enough incentive to commit to it for the rest of the season. I HOPE it is.

Kobe has MORE ASSISTS in his career than Michael Jordan and has taken FEWER SHOTS than Michael Jordan as well.....:yeshrug:

Matter of fact, Kobe is #36 ALL-TIME in most Assists in NBA history and he's supposedly a chucking SG:blessed:

Only SG with more assists than Kobe is Clyde Drexler......and Kobe will be surpassing him next year:ohlawd:

Despite Kobe playing more minutes, games, and seasons he's still 800+ behind Jordan in fga.

The question is why does Kobe also have to be a facilitator? Didn't they get Nash so that they could take the ball out of Kobe's hand so much? He's the only SG that is asked to play PG on a team with an "all-time great" PG to lead his team to victory.

Hasn't Kobe led the team in assists every season since Nick the Quick been gone? It's not like he never passed top the open man under the basket or the cutter, or the played on the weak side, spotted up. What happens when his players are playing passive? The only teammates this season that have been playing hard all year have been Ron Ron & Clark, and the regularly get touches.

Another thing, Jordan's assists totals are more impressive considering he played fewer seasons, games, and minutes than Bryant.

A better way to prove how full of shyt people are when complaining about Kobe's passing is to look at player who have been in the league a similar amount of time......

Like Ray Allen....Ray Allen has been in the league just as long as Kobe, only played 17 fewer games but has 1,400+ fewer assists. Never been in point in his career where people have demanded he play like a point guard.

Same goes for Reggie Miller, Paul Pierce, Vince Carter, and even Dominique Wilkins...All of them have significantly fewer assists than Kobe but I've NEVER heard the "they need to get their teammates involved more" bullshyt that people constantly harp on Kobe about. What makes the shyt even more absurd is that Kobe got more accomplished than all of them nikkas combined :pachaha:

What else is crazy, is that if Kobe averages just 4 assists from now on, within 2 seasons, Kobe will be #20 on the NBA ALL-TIME list in Assists (he's only 832 assists behind the #20 spot):blessed:

And to think, he's nothing but a chucking SG who never passes the ball:childplease:

Because, the ONLY way for Kobe to be successful as a teammate is if he becomes a PG.

He also cannot hold the ball in efforts to wait for the double team...because Jordan didn't hold the ball, Barkley didn't hold the ball (creating a new rule BTW), Bird didn't hold the ball, championship-winning Shaq didn't hold the ball LOL...The way the media flip flops on how "such and such isn't a great player" is ridiculous.

I think Kobe is actually the ONLY player that has had to constantly transform his game to be considered one of the GOATs.
