Rap fukked it up. The love is gone
Put these young people in a room for a week and have nothing but Stevie, Prince, MJ, and Luther with a side of Anita, Deneice Williams and Whitney. Young people need love and need to believe in something

Yeah
It's a singles driven world we live in. Most artists flooding the market are dance, EDM, hard bass rap. What r&b needs to do is flood the market with that to where people become fans of the artist then hit them with some soul. I'm waiting for new jack swing to return. Groups singing in harmony. There's no reason r&b should follow trap music or EDM. Make your own lane on party starters and get a rap verse for the remix.
Jus wait on it :win:

we talk about how a lot of todays artists cant sing. but there were certain artists back then who didnt have golden pipes either. but they had a machine behind them(jam and lewis, la and face) that made them sound good. you think janet jackson has golden pipes? no but she can dance and has a presence about her. jody watley- same thing. sticks to her strength- dance tracks. same thing with pebbles. anita, whitney houston, regina belle. i said this in a previous thread but those 80s artists are on another level.

Props on bringing up Tony Toni Tone. Perfect example of the diverse R&B, we 90s kids grew up

on. This Crack Baby Generation couldn't fathom songs like Anniversary, Slow Wine, Whatever

You Want, Get Down, Lay Your Head On My Pillow, Ask Of You, etc. We

were children listening to these adult-oriented, but non vulgar love songs. What does the kids have to listen to now "fukking, fukking, fukking, and Suck dikk for some Truckfit"...it's all so demonic friends:birdman:
