Well he's right

Everyone is talking about this review and i feel like yall not even watching it. Just reading the over exaggerated quotes. He says the game is great actually. He (just like all the other reviewers) however have no idea whats going on with the original plot which in his words he calls "jibberish"

I mean it's only like we be saying this for the last 5 years. Anyone who only played 1 and 2 will be lost when it comes to the story. Does this mean you can't enjoy the game? Of course not. All the disney worlds just like all the other kingdom hearts games are mostly self contained to their own movie plots with some little diversions here and there to make up a reason why sora is there in the first place.

However it does mean when u hit end game you will be very lost on whats actually going on. It's very clear that the story plot and emotional set pieces this game has 100% assumes u know whats going on. And if you don't it will probably come off as ridiculous to you. WHICH IS FINE. Like that's not a bad thing lol.

Kingdom hearts 3 is the game everyone expected it to be. It's a love letter to the hardcore fans of the series and a worthy sequel for casual fans who just wants to team up with donald and goofy and explore disney worlds. Nomura has said numerous times he wants fans of the series to play the game they missed to catch up on the story. The plot for this game unapologetically assumes you know whats going on and im glad they did it that way as it awards the long time fans.

Again this is the end of a 15 year arc. They can very well reboot this series with the next entry and start fresh but for the fans that been here from the start all of the "jibberish" that Jim is speaking of are answers and set pieces we been waiting 15 years for. Like i said in a previous post. Kingdom Hearts is basically my harry potter. The fukk does anyone look like hopping into the 7th and final book and not reading books 3-5??:scust:

My thing is, its not as easy as reading books because these came out on so many different systems. Why are they releasing every game on different systems?

We were all children back then and they released the games all over the place from DS, PSP, cell phones, etc.

And weren't most games in Japanese until the had the collection come out on ps3?

By then I kind of was just tired of waiting and just wanted KH3.

Plus I had Xbox too at that time.

They didn't make it easy to continue the story unless you got every system they released it on.

Then they released the combo games years later in the states and at that time you waited so long you just want to play kingdom hearts 3.

I had the combo for ps4 that had DD, I Played the aqua demo which was fun.

Then when I got to DD I was bored af because it reminded me of KH1, plus when I got it I have other shyt to do so I can't devote all my time into video games like I could with KH1 and 2.

Plus I had to play all the other games as well, I just didn't have time and wasn't in the mood to play all these games.

They should have just kept the games on Playstation instead of all the system jumping or found a way to have the story connect with the 3 games.

I heard that KH2 had nothing to do with the story that much, then why couldn't they put important stories in that one instead of the other games that released across other systems?

I wanted to play all the games, but with them making games on all platforms, and so much time it took those games to come to the states I just lost interest in playing an old game.

I think KH2 had the best gameplay and the others were like downgrades from that, I don't know about the game with terra n them tho.

I wanted to play all the games, they just made it way more difficult than they needed to.

That's fine and it WAS(keyword was) a very reasonable explanation for not playing the "side games" I never blamed anyone for not wanting to get multiple systems to continuing playing the series

HOWEVER the collections have been out for over 7 years now and have been out for 4 years during the promotional phase of KH3. Only reason to not of played the games BY NOW is just a lack of wanting to. WHICH AGAIN IS FINE but at the same time don't blame the plot for not filling you in when u had ample time to get acquainted with the story all on one system.

What also kills me is how people say they been waiting for KH3 since KH2. Like no you haven't. Plot wise there was no questions left unanswered in KH2 besides what was in Mickey's letter. Literally every question that KH3 is answering and all the plots it's gonna close started with BBS. Which is why (as weird as it sounds) KH2 is probably the least important game "plot wise" going into KH3. That's because KH2 answered and solved all plots it had going into it by the end of the game.

Even if u did think the secret ending was going to be about KH3 (which is fine we all did at first.) Once BBS was revealed and everyone realized this game was gonna be a prequel im sure your "wait for kh3" didn't just die. It shifted to bbs. But because it was on psp people thought it was irrelevant.

To say u been waiting 15 years for kh3(not your specifically just fans in general) means you weren't aware the series continued pass kh2 which i don't believe at all.

Yeah I have one of the collections for ps4. The one with ddd. I didn't get the second one.

Ddd bored the shyt out of me because it was like playing backwards like it was kingdom hearts 1, then I was getting confused because I didn't know what else to do but fight the enemies over and over in travest town, I got bored quickly and said fukk it. It also seemed like I was playing kingdom hearts 1 all over again.

So are ddd and bbs the most important games to play?

And another thing that I don't understand with them, is why did they make ddd collectio first when bbs is the first story?

That actually was the game I wanted to play, but just never got to getting it.

And tbh I didn't know that these side games were so important to the extent that I had to play them.

I thought the YouTube synopsis videos would be enough.

But yeah I just lost interest with ddd and said I'll just watch the YouTube videos.

Hope they'll fill me in enough because I still do want to play the others, but just thought the summaries would be enough.

BBS and DDD are the most important games plot wise going into KH3.

The first collection was just kh1/com and days. The second collection was kh2/bbs and coded. The 3rd one was DDD/0.2 and backcover. The first 2 came out on ps3 first with the last one coming out on ps4 and they bundled everything together on ps4.

I understand the xbox problem. Really nothing that could be done if that was the case then.

Only thing DDD has in common with KH1 is Sora's appearance. But DDD is a direct sequel to KH2 and is the game leading directly into KH3. Kinda like how CoM lead into kh2.

BBS is the "beginning" of the everything and explains the fates of the bbs trio and what master xehanort goal is (which is further expanded upon in ddd)

But yea there are summaries included in kh3 and they do the job i guess for the most part just to get the basic explanation of whats going on. But again most of the character set pieces to understand whats really going on u need to know what the hell they been through and what happened to them which the summaries can't really cover.

You can play 90% of all Kingdom Hearts games on the PS4 now in a single collection. The problem is even playing them all the story line is borderline gibberish.

Kingdom Hearts is the heart of all worlds? If somebody gets their hart taken they spawn a heartless and a nobody? The bad guy is himself, a heartless of him and a nobody of him and whatever else happened in 3D which I've never played.

It'll be a fun game but it's kinda sad the story devolved into nonsense.

You mean to tell me ddd wasn't a rehash with a all-new story and monsters you can fight with?

:mjlol:

It's one of the most important games to play!?

:damn:

I thought that shyt was like chain of memories just a different style of gameplay.

Think I could beat ddd by tomorrow? I'm at the part in travest town, I think I was riku then I switched back to sora.

Like 30-45 minutes in the game, I'm stuck fighting the same nikkas.

I don't have bbb, but I'll watch that shyt.

Never thought about this, but DDD BBB is there a reason they all have the same first letters of three words? Random thought.

DDD is around 22 hours not skipping cutscenes so unless u plan on doing a marathon probably not. I would suggest just watching a recap. While it is important it only dumps the plot relevance stuff in the end game.

BBS isn't BBB lol. It's Birth By Sleep. DDD is the only one when the same letter for all 3 words and that doesn't have any real meaning as far as i know of.
