...and that's the biggest problem with this series and square is a bunch of morons for that.
At the end of the day, those video summaries are incredibly helpful and made it so that I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the story in KH3.
I'm actually grateful the game took this long to come out now.
If it wasn't for youtube, I would be completely lost and would not be able to enjoy KH3 at all.

I said this exact same thing earlier in the thread and one of these dudes got mad at me for it. It's bad storytelling, and up until the compilations dropped, unfair to expect people to buy games across SIX different consoles (PS2, GBA, DS, PSP, 3DS, PS4/XB1) to get the full story. Even on one console, the story's a convoluted mess. Japanese game developers just can't write good stories. Screw it.

Yeah they should have gone the Yakuza route and just made each game it's own story with some returning characters.
Having a story that absolutely requires you to play each release only works if the games are released close to each other....
...or if they have an incredibly large following...like Metal Gear Solid, which makes me wonder who has the bigger following? MGS or KH? (My guess is MGS).
I think Shenmue is going to flop for this same reason as well. Not only are the first 2 games ancient, and the remasters are terrible, the third one doesn't look modern enough to be able to compete with any of the similar games that are out today. Add to that, that if you want to even begin to understand Shenmue 3, you have to play the first 2. The story isn't anywhere near as complex, but still.

I got to many externals already breh. The game is only 40gb but you need at least 80 at start to download. I shouldn't have bought BO4
