I would NEVER want to of grown up in the 80s.

The 80s fukking sucked.
Everyone had ugly long hair. Or mullets.
All that androgynous shyt with dudes weariong make up, eyeliner, and earings.
Those ugly ass tight stonewashed jeans. And those were the only jeans you could buy.
shyt was hella racist, atleast the 90s was the age when we started seeing civil rights gains and more diversity in pop culture. Less racist than the 80s, but still we had issues with race (LA Riots, Rodney King, etc)

i had fun in the 2000s but damn, were they tacky and overblown. And alot of it now didn't age well.

To be fair, some of that stuff only applied to white people.

I would have wanted to be around in the 80s so I could see Michael Jackson do his thing, and the rise of hip hop. Going back in time to witness Run-D.M.C.'s reign up close, then transition to the end of the decade when the golden age was forming and classic albums were dropping every month, sometimes within days of each other? Sign me up.

Those of us born between 90-92 are the very tail end of the true 90s kids although we really came of age in the 00s.

93 and after is another story though

Came to age, with Jay Z, Kanye, Jeezy, Ludacris, 50 & crunk/jerk/pretty boi/ trap music, high speed internet, smartphones, chapel show and Lebron, Tiger Woods & Obama.


2013+ have been some shyt years, social media, trump and feminization of these young cats.

shyt started to wane around 93-94
After Pac and Big got shot it was downhill from there
Mind you, Puffy had that party at The Tunnel culture going hard from 97-99
Bush got elected. After the towers fell, all that got deaded
The 2000's and 2010's have been gloomy as fukk
A fukking slew of our greats died too soon from the early 2000's. It seemed to level off after Prince.
The only thing that ppl have been genuinely excited about over the last 20 years is cell phones.
