when I was teaching I was pleasantly surprised to see how many young brothers and sisters had a healthy appreciation for 90s culture...kinda makes sense tho...their parents were more than likely born in the late 70s/early 80s but were teens themselves in the 90s

*edit*

oh my bad these weirdos actually wanted to be born in the 90s instead of experiencing it as teens

Riiiigggghhhht....I’m ‘81 so I turned 18 in ‘99. I experienced the entire 90s and half of the 80s even. They seem to want to be born in the 90s and experience the early 2000s smh. You had to experience the 90s ,not be born in it, to appreciate it for what it was about.

Born In 91.

there's quite a difference between early 90s babies and even mid 90s babies

Those of us born between 90-92 are the very tail end of the true 90s kids although we really came of age in the 00s.

93 and after is another story though

I was born in '87.

Idk if it's just me but 90s & 00s babies are both the same imo :yeshrug: I don't see anything different between both classes; they both act alike and have similar mentalities, personalities & interests.

There is no real difference.

I was thinking how the 90's was peak harmonization

It was that perfect mix of everything

Things were convenient but not straight up made for maximum laziness.

-Black people were making progress, there was actually a variety black entertainment options instead of the pigeon hole that black entertainment is in today. Even the comedic range was varied, from martin, to in living color to fresh prince and family matters.

in a nut shell it was the perfect mix of tech, and convenience.

Currently tech allow for everything to be to convenient to the point people are complacent, if you don't like something pick up your phone and instantly hop into a situation where you do like something or have something to do. We can complain and vent and make these silly little social media circles our reality. The music is over produced to perfection to the point the voice on tracks take a back place to production and mixing.

When was the last time you were lost?

I remember getting lost back in the day and finding spots I would have never went to looking for directions.

It's a ton of small things that you probably never think about.

But the 90's to early 2000's were great.

I was born in 94.
I wish I was a teenager during the 90s

I'd have a reason to go outside.
Hang out with friends skateboarding, basketball, and reading comic books.
Everything was cheaper, could probably move out of mom's crib

Girls are not as stingy, holler at them:mjgrin:
Music, TV shows, and movies :takedat:

Does seem like the shyt.

....but at the same, I probably have to know how to fight off bullies and crackheads.

This Thread making me feel ancient than a mugg! Smh..

Early 70s born, 80s raised and was grown during the Golden Era!

I bet none of these kids played carroms when they were kids nor had to do term papers on an actual typewriter!
