Y'all nikkas old and slow in the head. Early 2000's babies are going through the 20 year nostalgia cycle we went through 15-20 years ago. Every ten years, the styles, music and pop culture of 20 years prior gets lionized. Remember back in the early 2000's when everyone started wearing old school adidas track suits, Lacoste and LeTigre polos and shyt? Every early 2000's movie is slathered in 80's nostalgia from Paid in Full to American Psycho, shyt, even Napolean Dynamite. Early 2k babies have a weird nostalgia for the early 2000's because they don't know what it's like to live in a world without smartphones and social media. Early 2k babies didn't live in an era when musicians actually had to create somewhat good music to actually sell records.

I'm an 83' baby. Another thing super young folks forget is that you aren't really aware of the world until you're about seven years old. And you really can't enjoy a lot of shyt until you're well into your teens or an adult. Despite being born in the early 80's, I can only clearly recall 89'. I remember when that 89' earthquake hit San Francisco because I'm from Frisco. I remember crack was really bad in my neighborhood of Lakeview back then, walking with my pops through the hood and having nikkas ask my father if he was trying to cop a shot of rock on literally every corner. :sadcam: Hearing gunshots every night was a regular thing. When I go back and read all of the articles about my old hood, I'm like damn, hella nikkas was getting murked literally right outside my front door when I was playing Duck Hunt and shyt. :damn:The 80's and early 90's in the inner cities were grimey as fukk. But someone born in the early 70's could have told that story better and they did. It's no coincidence all of the undisputed goat rappers are early 70's babies who were teenagers during the crack epidemic and in their early 20's in the early 90's.

YouTube, IG and whatever the fukk these kids watching be having these suburban 2000's babies thinking they hood. :beli:I live in the burbs today and the amount of fuccboi shyt per square mile out here is appalling, :what:but I'm too old to be living in the trenches in Baltimore if I don't have to. :whoa:Seen a bunch of 19 year old cacs posing with a fake gun for pics yesterday.:dahell: In the 90's and early 2000's fake social media clout didn't exist. These early 2000's babies wishing they were born earlier might be on to something. :sas2:

Must be 2000 babies. I was born at the right time. :lolbron: in the 80s. Says a lot about the last 20 years because yes, it's been mostly weak sauce culturally. Now theres a lack of authenticity where shyt is just manufactured. Anything that ain't fake is treasured and thats what we need more of.
