Someone once said a lot of us are serious about not being serious. For too many of us being superficial and trivial is our comfort zone.

This is a large part of why we're kinda forced to keep to ourselves. My class peers, the women who should be my friends, are taking several girl trips a year.

1. Thats too much money on nonsense.

2. I have absolutely no desire to travel internationally with a bunch of bytches. For what, exactly?

Same thing with fashion. Im in the house 90% of the time, i only have one person to impress and he don't care about trends. When you damn near middle aged, you should be investing in good pieces from good brands anyway, which i do (another reason to maintain your weight, btw).

Due to my lifestyle, i basically can't be friends with the vast majority of modern bw. I don't even want them around me bc they have a toxic value system. At the same time, I'm not gon befriend rural ww, so i find myself at an impasse.

Kevin is a class straddler, a working class dude who became a Kappa and gained success as a salesman (generally a low network/metcalfe law job) and consolidated what other cats were doing on YT. On several levels he is not the type of cat who is supposed to be at the forefront of calling out the BS that's been prevalent for last couple of decades. But the academics ain't gonna call out the bad behaviors because the cost/benefit analysis ain't in their favor, ditto for Black media and most of the white collar professional class. But I've stated it on several occasions in HL @EndDomination , when the elites let chaos run wild and provide no guideposts you can't aggy when someone fills the vacuum. The ivory tower and professional class have been losing the ear of the Black poor and working class for quite some time now, maybe they need to reevaluate their persuasion techniques.

I feel for you, for real. Can't relate to your actual peers because they on countless fukkery, can't engage in toxic nonconstructive behavior when you near 40 because they still on that undergrad college spring break nonsense, and cannot enlighten them. Same shyt happening to me personally, when dudes still talking about being in the club 3 times per week and chasing p*ssy as if the woman still has the biological advantage (post 30 years of age) while stunting on social media.

I remembered when people got on Ice Cube's case when he started making family movies in his 40s, and brehs subconscious reaction is "why aint he still in the club bagging bytches? He still young." Its like the black don't crack youthful appearances is almost a catch 22...just because we look young, dont mean he gotta act like an immature youngin.

Even worse, fashion in this era is extra bright colors and weird designs (for me), but when an oldhead that looks young wears it, along with tats and flashy shyt, it makes them look . Those same dudes from the height of the crack era dressing like a Gen Z 21 Savage dude, talking about how they got clout and drip. If Jay Z at the age of 51 looks awkward in that, what makes the local older breh thinking that it is OK with that?

But what KS is saying, should have been harped on decades ago. Its out of hand in 2021 and its only getting worse. There is Grace in growing old with a unique sense of individual swagger.
