:pachaha:No, her man is white. She's a submissive woman. She's not researching US, she's researching submission. There really aren't a lot of sources (I know bc I read these books too), much less anybody still alive and willing to talk that shyt in today's climate.

She probably found out about the book through the algorithm.
Thats because this stuff is supposed to be passed down by the women of a society.

“He degrades black women”

Meanwhile ....

White woman: “I have something to say to the ladies!”

“Ma’am, I’m not gona let you come at the ladies, especially being non-black, that’s not gona happen.
A black woman sent a superchat applauding that.

That’s just what it is. A lot of Black men have suboptimal finances because they’ve spent so much money on clothes, shoes and accessories to be up on the latest trends.

I just don’t see my non-Black counterparts having to do all of that beyond a certain age.

The white, asian and other men I know aren’t trying to piece together all these different outfits once they are in their mid-30s. They are usually focused on building wealth and maintaining their families. Or they at least have a heavy interest in wealth building. We’re usually talking finance and investments.

Most Black men in their mid-30s are still focused on piecing together outfits to get the broads on Saturday night and during Sunday Funday. It’s pretty sad when you really think about it. It’s as if we’re stuck in this extended adolescence as Black men overall. We’re only talking sports, topical new items, women and other bullshyt. We don’t get serious about life until we are in our 50s! Brehs talking about starting an IRA at 50! :mjlol:

Me and the Coli Telegram brehs tried to put the Coli on a cryptocurrency play back in January. It fell flat. If we’d moved as a collective like those Reddit cacs, we’d all be sitting pretty right now.

My investment in that play is almost worth $300k right now. It’s hard to get Black men to listen and make moves together.

Sadly this is the case too many times. I am in my early 30s and too many of my peers are still following trends like teenagers. When I hit up the barbershop the conversation is usually about sports, the latest Jordans, and/or bytches. On some occasions serious discussions will take place but it will usually devolve into brothers just spouting off half-baked points & arguments. We have to be the only group where such a large portion of men emulate the trends and mindsets of teenagers. It's totally backwards.

I used to be one to dismiss Black women's complaints about finding solid brehs to pair with post 30. But, then I see that there are very few serious post-30 brehs to even network, build and invest with as well as a Black man interested in Black advancement. So, our women aren't totally off in their complaints about Black men. :francis:

On the hierarchy of males in society, we are see as the men for a good time. We're not seen as the wealth creators, the specialists, the builders, etc.

I have a similar situation like that with some guys I used to work with.

we work in IT on the night shift and they wanted to spend all 12 hours debating sports, music/hoes , bullshyt theories and other rich people money. As soon as I said I’m done with the bS they looked at me like I was turning on them.

fast forward to today they are still in a group chat with me talking about the same bs and get mad when I don’t chime in. I’m like unless y’all talking about trying to be great I am not interested in trivial debates. And as soon as I start talking investments and other business they act like they too broke to keep up or “I would but I got these bills “. Blah blah. I be like nikka we ALL got bills so what.

I think we overstate our lack of finances and never think we can play the game per say. And then when the GameStop thing popped off they late, of course and is mad that they are being blacked out of the quick come up.

I told them if you want to make money in stocks you can’t be chasing the hot companies after they blew up.

Do you know what peoples occupations are and how they are involved in their community. This seems like a localized anecdote and not something indicative of a real trend.

When people go to their hair cut, its in out. Not enough to have sustained discussions and network on that level unless its one on one.

Really not fair to make any judgments based on barbershop interactions.

But the thing is, our social scenes encourage that. Especially young black women that stay on social media, chasing superficial images and not looking deeper into smoke and mirrors.
