Sadly this is the case too many times. I am in my early 30s and too many of my peers are still following trends like teenagers. When I hit up the barbershop the conversation is usually about sports, the latest Jordans, and/or bytches. On some occasions serious discussions will take place but it will usually devolve into brothers just spouting off half-baked points & arguments. We have to be the only group where such a large portion of men emulate the trends and mindsets of teenagers. It's totally backwards.

But the thing is, our social scenes encourage that. Especially young black women that stay on social media, chasing superficial images and not looking deeper into smoke and mirrors.

 Sounds like you letting young women lead. Men set the tone.

That's one of the problems. In most cities, there isn't balance in the social scene. The party promoters cater to the lowest segment. Ratchet and trap are the money makers, currently.

Black men could and should offer more upscale events, but at this point, our culture doesn't have a palette for that. That will take some time to develop. It's akin to getting Black people to shift from Henny to elite whiskey!

We all know Henny is trash compared to great whiskey. But, the culture loves Henny and everything associated with it.

problem is people will both peer pressure and shame you if you are not doing what they're doing
so people end up following because of convenience and are afraid to think and stand out on their own
it's easy to say stand on your own but it always comes down to environment
what you think everyone is doing is based on the people you are around and what you see in the media or where you get your information
people don't allow people to be themselves

last week he had a woman who was a 4 or 5 at best, talking about she looks like some TV star. She was blabbing on about some nonsense, and didn’t know that she had her zoom camera on and that we could all see her. Kevin just trolled her with a Straight face, for like 10 minutes. Had me dying.
Thought Kevin usually required anyone calling in to be ON CAMERA?

Go to an Afrobeat club in your city. Generally very classy and upscale events. If you in Houston, DM me.

It depends on the social scene. Most of these types of events are invite-only; host by fraternities for charity. These are there, but you gotta be knowledgeable.

:russ: this show is entertainment. He asked a 19 year old chick how many sexual partners she had. She said 3 in 2 years.

He then was like you're on your way to being a whole hoe. :dead:

He said at that rate...1.5 per year in 10 years she'll be at 15-20, but 15 at 30 ain't terrible...not good but not terrible. Now 50 bodies is too many at any age.
