The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
I seriously doubt that happens. They are going to be bad for another season

Who's worst in the East other than Philly?

Right now, on paper, the nets are the worst roster in the entire league and it's not close.

I just think they could have an offseason that makes them like the 6th worst team. they're going to throw money around this offseason and their front office appears to have been upgraded big time

Billy king should go in the Celtics hall of fame, and he's finally gone

KD would be 1a and steph would be 1b as he should since he the PG

I said the same thing about them being 1a/1b, but let's not act like Curry is a pure PG and that's the reason he'd be the sidekick. It would be the natural transition for them to make. KD's size, along with his skill, makes him a better and more effective all-around scorer. The team would be better with KD as the centerpiece, and it would be very interesting to see a 2 time MVP, the first unanimous MVP in league history, immediately relegated to a sidekick role whether he liked it or not. Imagine the reigning back to back MVP becoming the 2nd best player and 2nd best scorer on his team. I'd almost like to see it happen for that reason alone.

Thank u. I can't stand when people clown the Sixers incessantly when the Nets have by farrrrr the worst future of any team in the NBA. People just eat up the media narrative, and the media just runs with that to discourage other teams from doing such a dramatic dump and tank strategy like Hinkie and the Sixers did.

Curry might be better suited as a scoring point rather than pure point because of his ability to play off the ball...steph got enough playmaking skills to set up everybody (averaged 8 apg for two seasons prior to this) and his scoring should be even more efficient with Durant and Klay on the floor with him forcing defenses to play honest

If Presti kicks Kanter out and pulls it off:wow:

Couldnt Presti just go to Portland and let them have Kanter for basically nothing? Portland wanted to sign him last year if Im not mistaken

Would that give them the flexibility to sign Horford?

Thunder/TSC
Still think 4 of these meetings (outside of Thunder & Warriors) are just happening more out of respect for people involved than anything else :manny:

Heat have to deal with Wade & Whiteside which pretty much takes all their cap & Bosh is a huge question mark at this point.

Clippers don't have the money & their big plan is trying to sell him on a paycut. Even a sign & trade limits him from getting his full max.

Celtics have a bunch of potential because of their assets but KD is trying to win now. He would want those assets turned into right now pieces & that requires other teams making moves to help the Celtics. They would be more of a look at next year team.

Spurs don't have the money, some of their main pieces are close to retirement, Pop might be done soon, their best player plays the same spot he does, their second best player plays the other spot he would, & they would have to move key pieces to make room.

Warriors are a unique opportunity just because of Curry having the contract he does making it possible. The issue with them (& everybody but the Thunder really) is if he signs a 1+1 deal you don't get his Bird rights so next season when he opts out you would have to clear or have space to sign him into again for an even bigger amount.

I agree with all of this. With the extent of the media driven Curry love affair this season I'm having a little too much fun bashing him after the Finals loss, but objectively speaking what you said is spot on. He's extremely effective playing on or off the ball, and KD would only open the floor for him more and most likely bring his assist totals up. Klay would probably take the biggest hit in terms of scoring totals, but would most likely become more efficient as well.

Portland did that to fukk over the Thunder(other teams in the league applauded him for it too).

Portland would have to accept a trade for a 17 million dollar center, while they are chasing Whtieside. 0 chance they take on Kanter.

they wont get Whiteside though, and by the time the cap goes up past 100 mil next summer, how bad will 17 mil for Kanter be?

There's a chance though and they're going to try.

Knater isn't a good defensive player and that hurts his value as a center/player. Maybe a team will take a chance on him, 17 mill isn't a lot under the new cap.
