They'd clear the space pretty easily I think. Danny Green is signed at a value, with all the cap room out there, you could flip him for a second rounder easily. Same with Mills. That's about $13.5 million cleared up pretty quickly. Pop will be around through the end of Aldridge's contract at least (2-3 more years). Kawhi hasn't hit his prime, LA has 2-3 years of star-level ball left. It's not like Durant would be locking himself in for 8-10 years.
Regarding the positional issue, Durant and Kawhi work together offensively, and Kawhi is quick enough to guard shooting guards on the other end (leaving Durant to guard forwards like normal).
