I doubt he's really going to have weather be a deal breaker, lol. If he does leave, he'll want to go to a team that will compete for a title, and probably whichever infrastructure he feels he can trust the best in terms of comfortability with coaches and front office

If he has patience, which he may not, Boston could bloom into something special in 2-3 years

Again, that Nets pick is a franchise player waiting to happen
I wonder how much that Nets pick is worth. Cavs had the 1st overall pick and only got Love for it. If it was worth more they could've got a Blake or Aldridge.

The problem I see is Durant is looking to compete for a title right away. Bradley, Crowder, a rookie, and future picks isn't going to contend next year
I agree, I don't think he will have the patience to wait a couple years, which really plays against Boston here. Like I said, I don't see it happening, he wants to win asap.

Just saying, Boston does have some really nice assets right now

If KD did sign there, Boston would be in the ECF next season possibl

Then again, you could probably say that same thing about even the Bulls who didn't make the playoffs lol, that's just how good KD is

Or it's the piece that gets us Demarcus cousins in February
Yeah it could definitely do that. That's assuming KD wants to play with him? I don't know the answer to that

I don't think he needs to be patient, I think Danny can make the celtics into a legit title contender this year if he gets durant. He'd probably make a couple trades and consolidate his talent into a 2nd or 3rd option and then refill his roster with role players with his cap space... Then he sells the nets picks as future trade assets or an ability to continue to reload the roster with top five picks to confirm we stay competitive long term

That was an odd situation though, Bron basically told his front office to go get Love. Celtics could definitely get Cousins if they wanted

Who knows, but my general point is that you can sell a long term competitive roster with the nets picks or you can sell the picks as trade assets to add more pieces.

That 2019 unprotected Grizzlies pick is starting to look nice

The Celtics couldn't even get Jimmy Butler for the 3rd pick breh. Cousins is much more expensive than just that. Unless you can guarantee that pick will be 1st overall and Josh Jackson is the next Kobe or TMac I don't see it happening.

I refuse to rule out that the nets have a really good offseason and actually build a competitive nba team. There's a slight risk in keeping that 2017 pick once July 1st rolls around.

They could make some good smart signings and severely hurt the value of that pick

Next year's draft is different breh. It's the best draft class in 10 years.

Oh, a Grizzlies pick too... smh

Celtics gonna be stacked one way or the other by 2020. I know that seems like a long ways away, but I'd hit a restart button right now for my team if it meant achieving long term contender status by them

Next year's draft is loaded

If Sacramento could get Brown and that Nets pick for Cousins, they would be fools to turn that down

The way to go is through the draft now. Free agency is so expensive that the contracts given to rookies are an amazing value now.

If I was a Celtics fan, I'm getting to the point where I just want to keep that Nets pick and ride out this season. Could still have a big free agency and hold the pick. It's not like you need to rely on your team to lose games to cash in on a top 3 pick

I seriously doubt that happens. They are going to be bad for another season

Who's worst in the East other than Philly?
