Dudes who can’t make a layup or a 3 in an open gym accusing Steph Curry and Michael Jordan of ruining the game. :skip:

On top of the that, he doesn’t even know wtf he talking about. The NBA has always been a stars league that markets the Individual. This was George Mikan in the 50s:

As I’ve said before, both Bron and Skip have benefitted from the exchange, but it’s negatively had an impact on the game even if it brings in eyeballs and revenue.
I don’t see how Bron benefited at all..

If anything the criticism he gets is based off of Skip‘s bullshyt narrative that he repeats every single day on TV for the last 17 years which leads to people repeating the shyt he says

Stephen A take is horrendously incorrect.

Stars have always carried sports franchises and when you think of bird and magic although the Lakers and Celtics were great teams those 2 were still the focal points and stars not only for those teams but the entire league. Jordan just took being a star to a point of marketing and branding never seen before. But the idea that fans or media thought in terms of teams rather than gravitating towards individual stars is complete horseshyt. Don't know how he formulated such a ridiculous take.
This isn’t true. Basketball is the only sport where teams supersede individuals. But it’s also not Jordan’s fault. The league chose to market him that way. Messi and Ronaldo where the biggest stars in the world but they were never bigger than Real Madrid and Barcelona and aren’t now. Those clubs are who they are. Tom Brady left and the Patriots still sell out every game. Basketball is the only sport where when a guy leaves a team most of the team’s momentum goes with him.
